Heart Full Of Blues (aka Blues In My Heart)

LP (Item 869903) Crown/United, 1963 — Condition: Very Good+
Titles include "Got Em Bad", "The Wrong Wroad", "I Need You Baby", "So Many Days", and "Strange Things".  © 1996-2025, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(Orange label stereo pressing in a green border cover, with ringwear, edge wear, split top seam, and half split spine.)

Very Good + (plus)

  • Vinyl should be very clean, but can have less luster than near mint.
  • Should still shine under a light, but one or two marks may show up when tilted.
  • Can have a few small marks that may show up easily, but which do not affect play at all. Most marks of this quality will disappear when the record is tilted, and will not be felt with the back of a fingernail.
  • This is the kind of record that will play "near mint", but which will have some signs of use (although not major ones).
  • May have slight surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Bluesway/ABC, 1967. Very Good+
There's some bigger arrangements here than you'd usually get on a BB King album of the 60s – but they're used in a really great way that makes the album one of our favorites by King from his years at ABC! Guess Who
ABC, 1972. Very Good
BB King's collapsed here on the beach in California – and maybe that's because he gave so much energy to the session – which is a lot more full than some of his previous work from the 60s! Forget the silly cowboy costume on the front cover – because this is a heck of a great album! Bo might have gotten saddled (no pun intended!) with a silly gimmick for the title and image of the set – but the album's one of his best from the early Chess years, and features a rip-roaring ... Door To Door
Chess, 1950s/Early 60s. Very Good+
A split album of early recordings by Otis Rush and Albert King – both featured here in early Chicago sides done for Chess Records in the years before their bigger late 60s fame! After Hours
King, Late 50s. Very Good+
A classic 50s compilation from the legendary King Records – one that really shows off the grittier, bluesier side of their catalog – and features some key crossover cuts from the postwar years too! London Sessions
Chess, 1970. Near Mint-
A famous date that showcases the Chess Records influence on the sound of the Brit rock scene – one that has a number of key players "giving back" to the label, and working on a special date with Howlin Wolf!
