Shipping Information

Unfortunately we are not able to waive the cost of shipping for packages returned to us because of addresses that are inaccurate, incomplete, or are otherwise undeliverable. Please carefully review your shipping address information to ensure the safe and timely delivery of your orders.

Combining Shipping

  US Options . International Options . Customs/Duties

You have the option to request that we hold your order so you can combine shipping for up to 10 days to reduce your total shipping cost. During this time you can choose this option with every order placed to the original shipping address while checking out and adding to your order.

If you choose this option, all orders will be combined automatically until you confirm you are ready to ship, and after 10 days your only option will be Ship my order immediately. With each order submitted you will receive the current status of your combined order by email.

You can confirm your order at any time using the link sent in your order email or the "Confirm order" option in your account. When you submit an order to be combined this option may be momentarily unavailable while we process additional items onto order.

Shipping options

  • Email me if an item has sold out before my order is processed for shipping. If all items are available, ship immediately.
  • Ship my order immediately – often the same day the order is received, regardless of availability.
  • Combine shipping by holding my order to for up to 10 days to combine future orders.

US Options

USPS delivery performance for the past 90 days from Dusty Groove's warehouse in Chicago, IL to all US addresses
  • Priority Mail packages: 4 days average delivery (4% required 7 or more days to deliver)
  • Media Mail packages: 5 days average delivery (2% required 10 or more days to deliver)

Delivery times start from the day the carrier collects the shipment, often but not necessarily on the same day the order is placed.

  • Media Mail: Delivery time is generally 5 to 10 business days, however due to variances in Post Office handling beyond our control packages can take up to three weeks to arrive. Media Mail is only available for orders of LPs, CDs, DVDs, books and magazines.
  • FedEx Ground: Delivery time is generally 2 to 5 business days depending on location. View map

  • FedEx 2nd Day: Delivery time is 2 business days from time of shipment.
  • FedEx Next Day: Delivery time is the next business day from time of shipment.

Shipping to P.O. Boxes is available through USPS and not available through FedEx.

International Options

  US Options . Customs/Duties

  • FedEx International: Fast priority shipping, handled and tracked by FedEx all the way to your door. Delivery time is about 1 week (or less) to most countries in the world.
  • International Economy Plus: A tracked service similar to Post Office Airmail. The package is flown to your country, then handed over to your national postal service who makes the final delivery to your door. Delivery time is 1 to 4 weeks to most parts of the globe.


  US Options . International Options

International shipments may be subject to customs duties (tariffs, taxes) upon arriving in the destination country. Unfortunately, we have no way of predicting these charges since they differ by country. These charges are a matter between you and your government. As a citizen of your country importing foreign goods (importer of record), you yourself are responsible for such charges. Further information about customs charges may be obtained from your local customs office.

Any postage price you pay us covers the full cost of shipping goods to you. However we have heard of some local customs offices assessing a "handling fee" in addition to customs charges for shipment irregularities that then get billed to the recipient. We have no control over local handling fees and the matter is between you and your government.

As a commercial institution we cannot list retail goods as a "gift" on customs forms. Even if you are giving items in your order to someone as a gift you have still paid us for these goods.

Special Instructions

We do our best to accommodate specific shipping and handling requests where possible. If you would like your vinyl records removed from their sleeves to deter seam splits, or want to omit paper printed invoices please leave a note under "Special instructions" during checkout.

Our order processing service automatically combines multiple online orders shipped to the same address and placed within 24 hours of submission into one consolidated package in an effort to reduce overall shipping costs.

If you want to have us ship certain items in separate packages (for example, to contain the costs of customs, duties, VAT, etc.) please wait for your current order to ship before placing subsequent orders. Unfortunately special instructions or emails to the order department about selective order combination cannot be accommodated, as our order department cannot disassemble orders that have automatically been consolidated.

Similarly, we are not able to remove items from your order based on conditional instructions such as, "Only include if catalog number is SD 1311." Instead, please contact us at before placing orders for any items where you require specific information to purchase.
