Used CD Grade
We only use the grade "Used CD" for non-new CDs.
This all-encompassing grade was chosen it because we only buy and offer
used CDs in the best possible condition.
When you purchase a used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the
lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves),
and the booklet to be in good shape.
Used CDs may show some signs of use, but if there are significant details or
defects we will describe the item's condition (just like we do with LPs),
so look for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details before ordering.
All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws.
After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine
that it plays correctly.
If it does not, you can request a return for a full refund.
Our favorite side of Gene Ammons' talents – summed up nicely in a 2LP set! Ammons wasn't the first tenor player to work with a Hammond organ, but once the format gained popularity, Gene made a wise move to take it up – and it became a pairing that forever defined the later years of his ... CD
Very nice album by Jug that often gets overlooked because it's comprised of 2 different sessions, and can't get the "historical" writeup of being a single significant moment in the studio. Some tracks – including "Lascivious" and "Soft Winds" – are with a ... CD
An album that definitely lives up to its title – given the great change and evolution in the style of Cannonball Adderley's music – definitely pointed towards the soul jazz fame to come in the 60s! The group here has Adderley's alto in the company of some all-stars who may not be his ... CD
A classic early album on Prestige – and one that features some heavy bop sessions cut for early 78s, all nicely packaged in a great cover by the famous Mad Magazine cartoonist Don Martin! The lineup here is great, and lives up to the title – as the set features work by three of the ... CD
An unusual record for vibist Johnny Lytle – one that has him breaking from his usual trio formation, to work in a super-tight lineup that includes some soul jazz heavyweights! The sound's quite different than Lytle's usual mix of organ and vibes, but still pretty darn great – thanks to ... CD
Even at this early point in their career, the Modern Jazz Quartet were plenty proud of their relation to and reception in Paris – almost rubbing their international fame in the faces of other American combos with the title and cover of this record! The set's still got the quartet at their ... CD
Music from Vince Guaraldi, Gerry Mulligan & Chet Baker, Lucy Reed, Woody Herman, Cal Tjader, Bill Harris, Kenny Burrell, Tony Bennett, Bill Evans, Mongo Santamaria, Brew Moore, and more. CD
Music from The Quintet, Charles Mingus, Ada Moore, Miles Davis, Bud Powell, Kenny Dorham, Oscar Pettiford, Thad Jones, Hazel Scott, Charlie Parker, The Birdlanders, and more. CD
Rare material from Bobby Timmons – tracks recorded for the Riverside label right near the end of the label's initial run – but not issued until a number of years later! The format here is interesting – in that Bobby not only plays his usual fantastic soulful piano, but also ... CD
A slightly different take on the Modern Jazz Quartet sound of the early years – as the album features Milt Jackson's vibes in the company of MJQ bandmates Percy Heath and Connie Kay, but also includes Horace Silver on piano – in the spot normally reserved for John Lewis! The presence ... CD
