Computer Game (Theme From Circus)/Yellow Magic (Tong Poo)

12-inch (Item 35408) A&M/Horizon, 1979 — Condition: Very Good

"Computer Game" is one of the best early singles from this famous Japanese combo. The cut's got plenty of electronics, as expected, but it's also got a wonderfully soulful groove – with some Barry White-esque strings that provide a nice degree of warmth, and help the cut hit a strong crossover audience.  © 1996-2019, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Very Good

  • Vinyl can have some dirt, but nothing major.
  • May not shine under light, but should still be pretty clean, and not too dirty.
  • May have a number of marks (5 to 10 at most), and obvious signs of play, but never a big cluster of them, or any major mark that would be very deep. Most marks should still not click under a fingernail.
  • May not look near perfect, but should play fairly well, with slight surface noise, and the occasional click in part of a song, but never throughout a whole song or more.
  • This is clearly a copy that was played by someone a number of times, but which could also be a good "play copy" for someone new.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Trumpety genius from Herb Alpert – a cut that gave him one massive hit to close out the 70s, and a tune that crossed over big into clubs, radio, and plenty of shag-carpeted rec rooms too! And hey, it worked for Biggie, right? 12-inch, Vinyl record

2 tasty groovers from the day when Quincy could still get us out on the floor! "Razzamatazz" is an excellent number that sounds way better than its hokey name – a snapping tune with a jazzy mix of 80s groove and boogie, and which features strong lead vocals from Patti Austin! ... 12-inch, Vinyl record

An 80s effort from Willie Colon, but still great, is a wild Latin club number – with some nice conga-laden grooves pulsing under the heavy keys and some tasty jazzy touches spicing things up! 12-inch, Vinyl record
