Children Of The Sun

LP (Item 811039) Warner, 1968 — Condition: Near Mint-
Gatefold
A really cool early project from Mike and Sally Oldfield – done when they were both very young, and in this acid folk style that's very different than their later music – especially Mikes!  © 1996-2024, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(Green W7 label stereo pressing. Cover has a small cutout hole, light surface wear, and bumped and worn corners.)

Near Mint - (minus)

  • Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
  • Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
  • One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so. These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play, but might detract from the looks.
  • May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record. (Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
  • May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
  • Possible minor surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Hey Spud boy! You need this record. Definitely underrated in the grand scheme, Oh No! finds the boys rocking a much more straightforward, nerdy computer funk sound. It sort of takes a page from the 80s Kraftwerk playbook with the grid-patterned 80s computer tomfoolery, albeit with a far more ... LP, Vinyl record album

Big Science
Warner, 1982. Near Mint-
One of the greatest albums to come from the New York underground of the early 80s – even if it was a relatively big "hit" on a major label! Warner, 1983. Very Good
One of the best heavy metal albums of all time! Van's debut album for Warner Brothers and a pretty radical departure from anything he'd done before – breaking all kinds of new ground for his own most creative work and helping pave the way for all kinds of hauntingly poetic rock, folk rock, and singer-songwriter records to come! Verve, 1968. Near Mint-
One of the most far-out, freaked-out albums ever from the Velvet Underground – easily the most experimental set the group ever recorded!
