✈
The one-and-only solo vehicle we've ever seen by Norma Jean – which is a shame, because a strong one! Norma Jean Wright was one of the singers in Chic – the super-huge pop-disco combo led by Bernie Edwards and Nile Rogers – and show broke off from Chic shortly just a year or so after their debut busted out so big. This solo album was actually issued during the height of the group's fame, and it's got a lot of elements of Chic's style – but also more of a straighter soul edge. Tracks are a bit less glossy, though, and Norma goes for more of straight up soulful sound on number of tracks and reaches it! Titles include "I Believe In You", "Saturday", "This Is The Love", "Having A Party", "Sorcerer" and "So I Get Hurt". This 2011 CD edition features 7 bonus tracks – including "Sorcerer (12" Mix)", "Having A Party (Extended Mix)", "Saturday (Single Mix)", "High Society (Extended Version)" and "Hold Me Lonely Boy".  © 1996-2024, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Used CD Grade

We only use the grade "Used CD" for non-new CDs. This all-encompassing grade was chosen it because we only buy and offer used CDs in the best possible condition.

When you purchase a used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves), and the booklet to be in good shape. Used CDs may show some signs of use, but if there are significant details or defects we will describe the item's condition (just like we do with LPs), so look for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details before ordering.

All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly. If it does not, you can request a return for a full refund.

Prince, 1987. Used
Recorded in 1987, but never officially released until 1994, when Prince was trying to get out of his Warners contract.
