This image is a general representation of the item and the actual product may differ slightly in terms of color shading, logo placement, borders, or other small details. Used items may have various cosmetic differences as well.
We use the all-encompassing grade "Used CD" for non-new CDs because we only buy and offer used CDs in the best possible condition.
When you purchase a used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves), and the booklet to be in good shape. Used CDs may show some signs of use, but if there are significant details or defects we describe the item's condition (just like we do with LPs), so look for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details before ordering.
All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly. If it does not, you can
request a return
for a full refund.
Condition Notes
If something is relevant, we try to describe it in the notes — especially
if it is release or packaging details,
or an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the CD.
This might include, but isn't limited to, scratches, tracks that skip,
case/insert damage or wear, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
A later classic from Sun Ra – a record that brought his music to a much wider audience in the 80s, and which bears one of his most beautiful cover shots ever! The record's got a wonderfully tight feel – a sound that's often not as out as Saturn sides, and which shows Ra's ability to ... CD
A legendary performance by Sun Ra & The Arkestra – and for good reason, too! The album was initially issued on a hard-to-find French import, but has cropped up in other formats over the years – and it's a stellar live date that really illustrates the group at their soulful best! ... CD

One of the Arkestra's last albums, and one of the few they ever did that came out on a big label. Released primarily on CD, but thre were a small number of LP copies cut – although we could hardly even find them back in '89! The album is one of the more polished recordings the Arkestra ever ... CD

2 rare Sun Ra Saturn albums back to back on one CD! Cosmic Tones is one of the Ra's greatest albums for Saturn – a record that has him playing clavioline and echoey "cosmic side drums" with a great spacey sound that was probably arrived at through some primitive reverb and echo ... CD
A strange little late record from Sun Ra – transpose Hours After to After Hours, and you'll get a good idea of the feel of this one – late night, soulful and bluesy, with a sound that's in keeping with the traditionalism of the late Arkestra! The group's an all-star one – Pat ... CD
2 early Saturn albums by Sun Ra on one CD! Fate In A Pleasant Mood was recorded and released in 1960 – and is a stellar example of Ra's early genius at work. John Gilmore and Marshall Allen hold down the reed solos, and Ra's piano is out front, with plenty of space for crazy solos, ... CD
A wonderful session that really gets at the lyrical beauty in the playing of John Hicks! The session's quite spare – and features only Hicks on piano, Bobby Hutcherson on vibes, and Walter Booker on bass. Hicks' piano carries most of the rhythm for some of the tracks – stretching out ... CD
