This image is a general representation of the item and the actual product may differ slightly in terms of color shading, logo placement, borders, or other small details. Used items may have various cosmetic differences as well.
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible.
When you purchase a Used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the
lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves),
and the booklet to be in good shape.
Used CDs may show some signs of use but if there are significant details or
defects we will list them underneath the item — just like we do with LPs —
so look there for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details.
All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws.
If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine
that it plays correctly —
and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.
A great third album from Staten Island instrumental funk titans The Budos Band – who've brought eclectic inspiration all along and have always colored from a much broader palette of styles than most of their peers – going even further this time out and delivering their best yet! The ... CD
A brilliant mix of Afro and deep funk styles – the kind of grooves you'd get if Fela Kuti hung out with The Meters in the late 60s! Budos Band recall the genius of 90s deep funk combo The Daktaris – and have a similar love of older African rhythms touched by a newer indie funk sound ... CD
Sublime work from one of the coolest funky combos around – a group who aren't content to just hit the same funky styles as other outfits – and one who really stretch strongly in their pursuit of new sounds! The set's definitely funky – especially on the drums – but there's ... CD
Massive work from James Taylor – the funky organ player who seems to get better and better with each year! This album has James really going back to his roots – hitting that tight and funky sound that first inspired him, and playing it better than he even did in the old days. The set's ... CD
The City Champs are at it again – and sounding even funkier than the first time around! This set's an amazing batch of Hammond-heavy instrumentals – one that really revels in the lean, mean, Memphis heritage of Booker T & the MGs – with all the tight, funky elements that ... CD
Heavy funk, with some 70s Afro touches too – served up with some help from the Mighty Mocambos, Spike Orchestra, The Snitch, and other deep funk combos too! The horns here are nice and heavy, but used in a way that's different from both familiar Afro Funk and Ethio-styled work too – ... CD
Sweetly funky grooves from the Philly underground! The Philadelphia Experiment is a great trio featuring drummer Ahmir Thompson (from The Roots), jazz bassist Christian McBride, and keyboardist Uri Caine, who plays some great Fender Rhodes and Hammond B-3 on the set! The core grooves are by the ... CD
Organ funk from the midwest scene – raw, tightly grooving instrumentals and the first full length release from Ohio's Jive Turkeys – numbers that sounds right in step with the 70s instro funk of The Meters and the best of the contemporary indie funk scenes! The group is a four piece ... CD
We're not sure what we think of the title – which has a bit of a 90s ring to it – but the record's got a smoking soulful sound that definitely lives up to previous work from Nick Pride and his combo! The group's equal parts 60s soul and 70s funk – and often blend the two together ... CD
An overlooked chapter in the Mr Chop canon! Coz Littler, aka Mr. Chop, has been a beacon in the future groove cosmos for years now – filtering his love for spacey 70s psych funk through classic-era hip hop beatcraft in a distinctive, irresistible way – and he's uber-prolific, too. In ... CD
Massively heavy funk from Brownout – and a set that may well be their greatest so far! We weren't sure what to expect when the group hit the Nat Geo label – but honestly, they seem like they're even rawer and rootsier than before – really serving up a brilliant blend of funk and ... CD
Massive work by Quantic – his third album, and easily the best one so far! There's a sophistication to the grooves here that we never would have expected in the earlier recordings – a keen love of a globe's worth of influence – summed up in the deeply changing mood of the set, as ... CD
