✈
❔
Great group vocals by one of Motown's biggest groups to never really make it. This album has some of their best cuts, with a sweet harmony sound, and raw production that works quite well with the band's approach. The best example of this is the cut "We Can Make It Baby", but other nice cuts include "Once I Have You", "If You Gonna Leave", and "The Only Time You Love Me Is When You're Losing Me".  © 1996-2024, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(Original pressing. Cover has ring and edge wear, a cutout notch, and aging.)

Very Good + (plus)

  • Vinyl should be very clean, but can have less luster than near mint.
  • Should still shine under a light, but one or two marks may show up when tilted.
  • Can have a few small marks that may show up easily, but which do not affect play at all. Most marks of this quality will disappear when the record is tilted, and will not be felt with the back of a fingernail.
  • This is the kind of record that will play "near mint", but which will have some signs of use (although not major ones).
  • May have slight surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Having A Party
Blue Thumb, 1977. Sealed
The name may be a bit hokey, but this is one heck of a great little record – every bit as sly and funky as work on the group's excellent Steppin album! Chas Jankel

Questionnaire
A&M, 1981. Near Mint-
An overlooked bit of crossover funk from Chas Jankel – best known both as the musical force of Ian Dury & The Blockheads during the late 70s, and as the composer of "Ai No Corrida", which was covered more famously by Quincy Jones!
