This image is a general representation of the item and the actual product may differ slightly in terms of color shading, logo placement, borders, or other small details. Used items may have various cosmetic differences as well.
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible.
When you purchase a Used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the
lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves),
and the booklet to be in good shape.
Used CDs may show some signs of use but if there are significant details or
defects we will list them underneath the item — just like we do with LPs —
so look there for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details.
All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws.
If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine
that it plays correctly —
and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.
An album that has Monday Michiru returning to her jazz funk "roots", and singing with a band that plays live throughout, with no overdubs or samples. The band is a tight collective of young Japanese players, and they get a good hard sound that's reminiscent of the playing on the early ... CD
Blue-eyed soul at its best – served up by James Hunter with a really classic sort of sound! This album came out a decade before Hunter's more famous work, but is a set that we still like a fair bit more – a surprisingly simple, no-nonsense effort that owes a fair bit to the smoother ... CD
The start of a great legacy for Foreign Exchange – a duo made up of equal parts MC Phonte of Little Brother and Dutch production wiz Nicolay! The record was a pretty fitting departure for Phonte – whose crew re-ignited the southern hip hop underground for cats without the pimp crunk ... CD
The fantastic first full length set from Vicktor Taiwo – an artist who may well redefine the sound of electro soul for the 21st Century! Vicktor's got a voice that would be wonderful in a standard setting – inflected with his Nigerian roots, and clear love of American soul music – ... CD
Maxwell's third album, and he just keeps getting better. His songwriting skills have become more finely honed, and the arrangements and general feel still maintain his warm, retro modern vibe. We never tire of his soulful vocals, and music that references classics like the Isleys, Marvin Gaye, ... CD
The second album from Foreign Exchange – the formerly bi-continental project of North Carolina MC, and nascent soul singer Phonte of Little Brother, and transplanted Dutch producer Nicolay – who take an even deeper turn into spacey soul on Leave It All Behind! Given that Phonte is ... CD
It's been way too long since the last 4 Hero album – but it's definitely been worth the wait, as they're even more focused and fabulous than before! There's a real "instant classic" feel to this record – the kind of feeling that folks must have got when first buying Rotary ... CD
