Rutles EP

LP (Item 796231) Warner, 1978 — Condition: Near Mint-
Amazing work from Eric Idle of Monty Python and Neil Innes of Bonzo Dog Band – a hilarious parody of The Beatles, with songs that sound like they actually could have been hits!  © 1996-2024, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(Translucent yellow vinyl promo pressing.)

Near Mint - (minus)

  • Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
  • Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
  • One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so. These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play, but might detract from the looks.
  • May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record. (Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
  • May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
  • Possible minor surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Vehicle
Warner, 1970. Very Good+
These guys will forever be known for the jazzy grooving title hit – "Vehicle", a brassy driving number that seems as if it's always being used in some sort of car commercial (which must net these guys a lot of royalties!) – but which is usually mistaken by others for being the ... Take To Wheels
Warner, 1963. Very Good
The Marketts take to wheels here – making the move to hot rod themes that so many other surf instrumental groups were doing at the time – yet also finding their own unique groove in the process! Roxy Music's third album, and a record that really shows that the group have found a tremendous voice of their own – quite a thing to do, given the heady brew of records that were coming out in the year of 1973! London, 1970. Near Mint-
A landmark live set from the Rolling Stones – featuring material from their smoking tour of 1969! Badfinger

Ass
Apple, 1973. Near Mint-
A rawer Badfinger emerges on Ass – self-produced with a no frills vibe that was apparently something of a controversial way for the boys to record at the time, as Apple initially rejected it.
