Ahmad Jamal from the 80s – and we love it! The record has Ahmad stepping into yet another guise and handling it wonderfully – blending together smooth soul and string arrangements with some sweet jazzy piano lines that soar over the top! The strings and orchestrations are handled by Gil Askey, stepping along with a nice soulful bounce – as Ahmad plays acoustic piano with lots of dark overtones and really nice edges.
