Days Of Future Passed

LP (Item 647491) Deram, 1967 — Condition: Near Mint-
(Stereo pressing. Cover looks great, with minimal wear.)

Near Mint - (minus)

  • Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
  • Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
  • One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so. These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play, but might detract from the looks.
  • May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record. (Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
  • May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
  • Possible minor surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Jerusalem

Jerusalem
Deram (UK), 1972. Near Mint- Gatefold
A record with a much harder edge than you'd expect from the cover – not the ancient vibe of a medieval crusade, or the religiosity in the title – and instead this searing entry to the hard rock underground at the time! The group have a really heavy Black Sabbath sort of sound – ... LP, Vinyl record album

Keef Hartley Band

Halfbreed
Deram, 1969. Near Mint- Gatefold
A brilliant little set from Keef Hartley – a blend of jazz, blues, and rock that's really tremendous – quite different than other efforts of its sort at the time, with a gritty edge that really makes the record stand up strongly over the years! Whistling Jack Smith

I Was Kaiser Bill's Batman
Deram, Mid 60s. Very Good+
Here's a guy with a great gimmick – whistling! Jack Smith was a youngster, but he could blow with the best of them – whistling his way through the massive international pop hit "I Was Kaiser Bill's Batman" – a tune that's as groovy as it sounds, with a crashing goofy ... LP, Vinyl record album

Frijid Pink

Defrosted
Deram (UK), 1970. Very Good+
A record that has some blues influences at the core, but which also really moves past that energy right away – by folding in some of the hipper, headier styles that Frijid Pink had picked up while working on the Detroit scene at the end of the 70s! The vocals are raw in a great way, and the ... LP, Vinyl record album

One of those records that should be an insane dark mess, given the look of the cover – but which turns out to be a surprisingly well put-together effort all the way through! Moby Grape

Truly Fine Citizen
Columbia, 1969. Near Mint-
A truly fine Moby Grape effort from the tail end of the 60s – featuring loads of rubbery rock grooves – and one of the more songwriting centered efforts from the Grape catalog!
