White Windows

LP (Item 609160) Blue Suit, 1989 — Condition: Sealed
A later set of Delta blues from Honeyboy Edwards – with titles that include "West Helena Blues", "Goin Down Slow", "Lay My Burden Down", "Shake Em On Down", "61 Highway", and "Don't Say I Don't Love You".  © 1996-2023, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Sealed

This is what it says, that the record is still held fast in shrink-wrap. We tend to be pretty suspicious about these things, so if the shrink-wrap doesn't look original, or if the record seems to have undergone some damage over time, we'll probably take it out of the wrapper to ensure that it's in good shape — which is why we don't have more of these. In some cases the shrink-wrap may be torn in spots, but if it's not possible the record has been taken out and played, the record will still qualify as "Sealed".

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

If it were up to us, every song Bo recorded would have been a hit – because they're all so great! Bobby Rush

Sue
LaJam, 1981. Near Mint-
One of Bobby's greatest albums – a mix of electric blues and southern soul, forged in the heat of the Malaco studios in Jackson! The album's titled after Rush's incredible 8 minute track "Sue" – a tale of young love that has a hilarious monologue in the middle about this ... LP, Vinyl record album

Excellent 60s work from Little Milton – one of the few Chicago bluesmen of the 60s we actually dig! Jimmy Smith

Any Number Can Win
Verve, 1963. Very Good Gatefold
Sessions like this are proof that Jimmy was one of the most fantastic organ players ever – as his work with large arrangements (supplied here by Claus Ogerman) always seems to groove better than his work with small combos. His sound is impeccable, and he soars ahead of the rest of the ... LP, Vinyl record album

Cal Tjader

Best Of Cal Tjader
Verve, Mid 60s. Near Mint- Gatefold
Cal cut so many great sides for Verve during the 60s, it's hard to imagine how anyone could come up with a "best of" – but this album fits the bill nicely, and includes a number of solid groover and Latin jazz tracks that fit just right! Includes "Sake & Greens", ... LP, Vinyl record album
