This is what it says, that the record is still held fast in shrink-wrap.
We tend to be pretty suspicious about these things, so if the shrink-wrap doesn't
look original, or if the record seems to have undergone some damage over time,
we'll probably take it out of the wrapper to ensure that it's in good shape —
which is why we don't have more of these. In some cases the shrink-wrap may be
torn in spots, but if it's not possible the record has been taken out and played,
the record will still qualify as "Sealed".
Additional Marks & Notes
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Really great work by The Association – a back-to-basics effort that has the group handling most of the instrumentation themselves, in a way that often gives the set a surprisingly intimate feel! Sure, these are the guys who virtually invented candy-coated Sunshine Pop – but they're ... LP, Vinyl record album
The first full length album recorded by the legendary Association – a classic bit of Sunshine Pop that would forever change the sound of the 60s! Although familiar, the album's got an amazing depth that still never fails to surprise today – odd production twists and turns, courtesy of ... LP, Vinyl record album
Fantastic dreamy pop! Despite the fact that this one yielded the super-huge hits "Windy" and "Never My Love", the album's also filled with great 60s pop tunes that you've probably never heard before – all as fantastically well-crafted and delicately strung-out as the big ... LP, Vinyl record album
A live set recorded in Paris in 1977! The Soft Machine of the period included John Marshall on drums and percussion, Karl Jenkins on piano and keyboards, John Etheridge on guitars, Rick Sanders on violin, and Steve Cook on bass. Original album tracks include "The Nodder", "White ... LP, Vinyl record album
The first appearance of the Frippertronics delay line built by Fripp and Eno out of a couple of tape decks. Somehow even though this is nearly pure process music, it manages to sound far from dated, cliched or boring – ambient bliss meets only slightly noodly prog guitar in a hall of mirrors. ... LP, Vinyl record album
A jazz rock classic that still sounds pretty darn tasty today – forged on the heels of Chicago and Blood Sweat & Tears, but with a sound that's leaner and meaner! The group's led by trumpeter Bill Chase – hence their name – and features lead vocals by GG Shinn and Terry ... LP, Vinyl record album
This one's actually the group's sort of second album – at least in the US – with 4 tracks that really follow nicely in the feel of Entertainment! Tracks were recorded between 1978 and 1980 – and all have a nice raw guitar sound. Includes the massive "Armalite Rifle", ... LP, Vinyl record album
Great big Dee-troit rawk, like no other group of madmen could have ever created! This is the album that established the Motor City as the capital of late 60s/early 70s gonzo psychedelic rock, and still stands as probably the most massive live recording of the era. Pile-driving outer space noise ... LP, Vinyl record album
Pure mainstream 70s pop genius, the most fully-formed of all early Supertramp albums – and a record that's filled with a surprising amount of great Fender Rhodes moments too! The set's a masterpiece from start to finish – filled with themes of loss and loneliness, but served up by the ... LP, Vinyl record album
Their first album, from when they were still fresh out of art school, with a nice, stripped down approach. With "Uh-Oh, Love Comes To Town", "New Feeling", "Tentative Decisions", "Happy Day", "Who Is It?", "No Compassion", "The Book ... LP, Vinyl record album
A great step forward for The Cryan Shames – a group who started their career singing other peoples' music, but who emerge here with some great songs of their own! There's a brilliant Sunshine Pop feel to the whole record – but there's also some garagey elements that reflect the group's ... LP, Vinyl record album
The MC5 move to Atlantic Records after their first album – and find a whole new sort of focus that's pretty great! Their classic debut was a raw live album – designed to capture their intensity on the Detroit scene of the late 60s – but this set has the group stretching out, and ... LP, Vinyl record album
