This is what it says, that the record is still held fast in shrink-wrap.
We tend to be pretty suspicious about these things, so if the shrink-wrap doesn't
look original, or if the record seems to have undergone some damage over time,
we'll probably take it out of the wrapper to ensure that it's in good shape —
which is why we don't have more of these. In some cases the shrink-wrap may be
torn in spots, but if it's not possible the record has been taken out and played,
the record will still qualify as "Sealed".
Additional Marks & Notes
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
A great set of torchy ballads from Lee Wiley – a singer who virtually helped invent the genre on record with her classic sets for Columbia Records! This album's done a few years after those – and features backings by Ralph Burns, who brings a fair bit more sentimental moments to his ... LP, Vinyl record album
Features work by Conte Candoli on trumpet, Bob Cooper on tenor, Paul Horn on flute, Bud Shank on alto, and Frank Rosolino on trombone! LP, Vinyl record album
A great singer, and a real standout album that's sadly been lost beneath the shifting sands of time! Toni Harper's working here with arranger Marty Paich – in a mode that's jazzy, but with soulful undercurrents – in that sophisticatedly swinging style that made Paich one of the best ... A key later album in the career of Perry Como – and a record that has him hitting a nicely mature sort of sound! The title track was a big hit for Perry, and is still relatively well-remembered now – but the whole set is pretty darn great – with swirling strings that couch a ... LP, Vinyl record album
Plenty of blue tones in Kay Starr's music here – those sad-tinged sounds that made her a real standout in 50s pop, served up here with some slightly jazzier elements as well! The record's a nice contrast to some of Kay's more familiar hits – in that it still shows her singing strongly ... LP, Vinyl record album
Possibly one of the most essential Billie Holiday albums for Verve – a set that carries the same title as her famous autobiography, and which also features many key numbers from her songbook at the time! The feel here is quite easygoing and relaxed – with small group backing behind ... LP, Vinyl record album
One of Billie's last recordings, and an incredibly striking batch of songs arranged by Ray Ellis with a sad, fragile ege that's perfect for the style of her later work. Billie's voice is faltering, but in a way that only makes the songs sound more personal and more compelling – and although ... LP, Vinyl record album
