Rare live work by Isaac Hayes – 8 very long tracks originally recorded for the Wattstax concert in 1972, all but one of which are previously unreleased! The album captures Isaac at his peak – working in that incredible early 70s energy that had him busting out of the background with one of the proudest, strongest, baddest styles in soul music at the time! As noted, most of the work on the set is making its first appearance ever – and it shows Ike leading a very tight band, really kicking booty in a live setting, proving that his magic was not just the result of studio tricks!
