LP (Item 39659) Polydor, Early 70s — Condition: Very Good+
Gatefold

Hard-rockin bluesey funky work from Genya and crew – with lots of great guitar bits ripping around, and some surprisingly strong funky undercurrents working at the bottom of the set! Think Betty Davis gone a bit more rock, and you've got a very good idea of the sound of this one – but also expect a few nice mellower cuts too. Michael Zager arranged, and tracks include "Brief Replies", "Pulse", "Come Live With Me", "A View Of Soft", and "Last Of The Line".  © 1996-2020, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(Cover has light wear.)

Very Good + (plus)

  • Vinyl should be very clean, but can have less luster than near mint.
  • Should still shine under a light, but one or two marks may show up when tilted.
  • Can have a few small marks that may show up easily, but which do not affect play at all. Most marks of this quality will disappear when the record is tilted, and will not be felt with the back of a fingernail.
  • This is the kind of record that will play "near mint", but which will have some signs of use (although not major ones).
  • May have slight surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Moving On
Polydor, 1972. Very Good
Bill Cosby introduces this hip little live set from the John Mayall group – which is fitting, as there's definitely a bit of an LA groove on the set! Mayall's still in very bluesy territory, but he also gets some great soul jazz support too – from players who include Charles Owens on ... LP, Vinyl record album

The last album in the classic run of Steely Dan – the final taste we'd have of the group until their surprising revival in the 90s! Gaucho picks up beautifully where Aja left off – warmly produced with a deep undercurrent of jazz, but perhaps a bit more down to earth feel at times too ... LP, Vinyl record album

The first US album by The Zombies – a brilliant little record that shows the group as way more than just a Brit Invasion combo!
