An incredible Lenny Bruce concert from the mid 60s – recorded before a very friendly Berkeley audience, at a time when Bruce was being heavily persecuted by the authorities for his groundbreaking style of humor. Although many of Bruce's performances during this time lapsed into a dullness brought on by a sense of persecution, this one's still razor-sharp, and is filled with Bruce's incredibly insightful wit, made even more incredible here through live improvisation. Fantastic stuff – and proof that the man was a true genius! (Original pressing.)  © 1996-2016, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Very Good + (plus)

  • Vinyl should be very clean, but can have less luster than near mint.
  • Should still shine under a light, but one or two marks may show up when tilted.
  • Can have a few small marks that may show up easily, but which do not affect play at all. Most marks of this quality will disappear when the record is tilted, and will not be felt with the back of a fingernail.
  • This is the kind of record that will play "near mint", but which will have some signs of use (although not major ones).
  • May have slight surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Earth, Late 60s. Near Mint-
Fantastic LP of "authentic" interviews with "real live groupies" from the late 60's. Theoretically an expose, this is more of a loose conversation with the girls drinking their way through a chat about the different positions that their lifestyle puts them in. We're not sure ... Voice Of Greatness
Benash (UK), 1971. Very Good-
A weird one that we've never seen before. The record includes excerpts of a number of King's famous speeches, but in between the excerpts, the voices of the Clara Ward singers come up and do some songs. We can't figure out if they're actually there with King, or if their singing is dubbed in ... LP, Vinyl record album
