Flying Machine

LP (Item 11822) Janus, Late 60s — Condition: Very Good+
Groovy little pop rock tracks, with a good small combo sound, and a tight little arrangements with a larger ensemble. The group has a good late 60's pop harmony style, with the lead singer out front, and the other singers in the back – in the style of a band like We Five or something like that. Includes the track "There She Goes", which has a nice break at the beginning.  © 1996-2024, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(Original beige label pressing. Cover has staple holes on one corner, light wear, and aging.)

Very Good + (plus)

  • Vinyl should be very clean, but can have less luster than near mint.
  • Should still shine under a light, but one or two marks may show up when tilted.
  • Can have a few small marks that may show up easily, but which do not affect play at all. Most marks of this quality will disappear when the record is tilted, and will not be felt with the back of a fingernail.
  • This is the kind of record that will play "near mint", but which will have some signs of use (although not major ones).
  • May have slight surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

If this is the army, sign us up – because these guys make the Kiss Army look like a bunch of wussies! Hear Me Now
Janus, Mid 60s. Very Good+
An American release from the early 70s, but one that features material from right at the start of Donovan's career – a time when it was mostly just his voice and acoustic guitar, on titles that include "The Ballad Of Geraldine", "Do You hear Me Now", "Cuttin Out" ... LP, Vinyl record album

Human League

Travelogue
Virgin (UK), 1980. Very Good+
The second album by Human League – and one that has them really honing their craft a bit, sliding from a world of messed-up broken-down synthesizers into more song-based forms that hint at the genius pop of later years. Things are still pretty darn dark – with vocals that would scare a ... LP, Vinyl record album

Univers Zero

Univers Zero
Cryonic (France), 1977. Near Mint-
A seminal release from the French scene of the late 70s – issued by this important group who were kind of post-prog, post-free jazz – but worked in a surprising blend of both! At some level, Universe Zero is an attempt to take 20th Century modes of European composition into the freer ... LP, Vinyl record album
