✨✧ Dionne WarwickComplete Scepter Singles 1962 to 1973 (3CD set – with booklet) ... CD
Scepter/Real Gone, 1960s/Early 70s. Used 3 CDs ... Out Of Stock
The stuff of legend – the complete 7" single output of Dionne Warwick during her early years at Scepter Records – a time when she was transforming the sound of 60s pop, with help from songwriter/maestro Burt Bacharach! In fact, the set's as much of a tribute to Burt's genius as it is to Dionne's – even though there are some non-Bacharach moments in the mix too, yet served up at a level that just shows how much potential Warwick had at the start, honed even more strongly in the hands of the maestro. The massive package features 74 tracks in all, and includes some great cuts past the hits – including "Amanda", "Who Gets The Guy", "Walk The Way You Talk", "I'm Your Puppet", "Window Wishing", "Loneliness Remembers What Happiness Forgets", "Walk Little Dolly", "Let Me Be Lonely", "Who Is Going To Love Me", "Another Night", "As Long As There's An Apple Tree", "Slaves", "Whoever You Are I Love You", "Only The Strong", and "Let Me Go To Him". CD
(A massive 3CD set – limited to 3000 copies!)

✨✧ VariousYulesville – 33 Rockin Rollin Christmas Blasters For The Cool Season ... CD
Bear Family (Germany), Late 50s/Early 60s. New Copy ... Out Of Stock
Yulesville is coolsville – especially when it comes in the form of a killer collection of rare Christmas singles from the folks at Bear Family! The package is awash in the kind of groovy, sometimes goofy Holiday singles that broke big in the early years of rock and soul – a nice antidote to the sort of sleepier work that usually graced the record racks in earlier years – and the kind of music that's perfect for sipping egg nog into the wee small hours of Christmas morning! There's plenty of gems here that we've never heard before, and plenty of other great nuggets too – titles that include "Rock & Roll Christmas" by Cordell Jackson, "Wishing Is For Fools" by The Melodeers, "Jingle Jangle" by The Penguins, "Jingle Rock" by Tommy Lee & The Orbits, "Big White Cadillac" by Little Joey Farr, "Xmas Bell Rock" by Barry & The Highlights, "Twisten Bells" by Santo & Johnny, "Sleigh Bell Rock" by Three Aces & A Joker, "Winter Wonderland" by Allen & The Flames, "The Cactus Christmas Tree" by The McGuire Sisters, "It's Christmas Everywhere" by Paul Anka, "All Winter Long" by Linda Laure, and "Christmas Kisses" by The Bookends & Ray Anthony. 33 tracks in all! ✨✧ Frank HatchettSensational ... LP
Telephone Explosion (Netherlands), Late 70s/Early 80s. New Copy 2LP Gatefold ... Out Of Stock
A really cool collection of cuts with an unlikely history – as most of these numbers originally came out on dance instruction records, but stand alone very nicely on their own! Frank Hatchett's records were issued in small amounts to an equally small and focused audience – but as with the famous Gus Giordano records from the generation before, they used all sorts of cool funk, jazz, and soul elements in the mix – sometimes more down to earth styles, sometimes a bit more electro or boogie-oriented – which means that these cuts have some surprising street and club appeal too! The original albums had a succession of short cuts in random order, but this very cool package brings together all the best cuts from those sets in one very nice compilation – with titles that include "We Supply", "A Message From Kenya", "Malibu Nites", "Music Is The Answer", "Which Way Is Up", "Dance Crazy", "Holly Rock", "Just Dance", "Break Out", "Wishing On A Star", "Sam's Tune", "6/8", "and "For The Lover In You". LP, Vinyl record album
