Get Disconnected, 2007. New Copy ... Out Of Stock
Contemporary club from Viola Wills – cut in a style that takes us back to the end of the disco years, when former divas were pulling things in a bit from before, and getting more personal in their music! Viola's nicely restrained on the best numbers here – more an older-styled soul singer, with backings that are slightly electric, but more classic than contemporary – almost in a nice sort of early 80s modern soul approach. Titles include "Dare To Dream", "Hot For You", "Love Transfusion", "Crazy", and "You Are The Reason" – plus 12" mixes of "Dare To Dream" and "Both Sides Now". CD

Get Disconnected, Late 70s/Early 80s. New Copy ... Out Of Stock
Not much of a cover or title, but a pretty great little set – and one that features a fair bit of lesser-known gems from years back, despite its claim of classics! The tracks here are all at the higher end of the disco rhythmic spectrum – mostly quite upbeat, with soaring strings and tight instrumental flourishes – very much in the spirit of Paul Sabu, who produced some of the cuts on the set – or some of the bigger hits on TK Records from the time. Titles include "If You Could Read My Mind" by Viola Wills, "I'm Here & I'm Hot" by Vicki Sue Robinson, "Superman" by Celi Bee, "Love Rush" by Ann-Margret, "Do Your Best" by Carl Hahn, "Gimme Back My Love Affair" by Sister Power, "We're Gonna Rock" by Sabu, "Disco Dancin" by Rice & Beans Orchestra, "Magnifique" by Magnifique, and "Don't You Want My Love" by Debbie Jacobs.
