Mick FarrenVampires Stole My Lunch Money ... LP
Logo/Munster (Spain), 1978. New Copy (reissue)... $28.99 29.99
Mick Farren has the hair of a hippie on the cover, but he comes across here with the raw energy of some of the best new acts on the New York scene during the early punk years – really stunning throughout, with a sound that rivals some of the best by the Dead Boys, Richard Hell, and even Television! Farren's vocals are very raw, and perfect for the sharp lyrics of the tunes, and the racing guitar that are there to help deliver the message – and if the whole thing wasn't issued on a tiny label, it might well have gone on to become one of the more important records of the time! Titles include "I Want A Drink", "Trouble Coming Every Day", "Zombie Line", "Son Of A Millionaire", "Drunk In The Morning", "Self Destruction", and "I Don't Want To Go This Way". Los Saicos (aka Saicos)Demolician – The Complete Recordings 1965 to 1966 ... LP
Munster (Spain), Mid 60s. New Copy ... $26.99
An incredible batch of prime garage rock era nuggets from the Peruvian scene – fuzzy gems by the Saicos! The Saicos bring a sense of menace to these tunes – with a guitar tone touched with an eerie vibe, and lead vocals that are really piercing and gravelly in that instills this primordial edge that needs to be heard to be believed – but that balance it off with some moddish, British invasion grooves, too. The overall sound manages to blend both the heavy menace of cult acts like the Monks and the Seeds with the tunefulness of the Animals – and clear precursor the garage punk for decades to come! Titles include "Come On (Ven Aqui)", "Ana", "Demolicion", "Lonely Star (Estrella Solitaria)", "Cememterio", "Te Amo", "Fugitivo De Alcatraz", "Salvaje", "El Entierro De Los Gatos", "Besando A Otra" and "Intensamente". Comes with a great booklet, too! LP, Vinyl record album

VariousAlgo Salvaje – Untamed 60s Beat & Garage Nuggets From Spain Vol 1 ... LP
Munster (Spain), Mid 60s. New Copy 2LP Gatefold ... $39.99 44.99
Searing sounds from the Spanish scene of the 60s – a surprising hotbed of razor-sharp, guitar-driven, garage rocking bands! Other European scenes of the time are maybe better-known – especially the UK, Swedish, and German ones – but the work here is really stunning – and easily matches any of the best efforts coming from American cities like LA, Boston, or Seattle back in the day – as these cool quartets and quintets find a way to blend together raw guitar and jaunty vocals – sometimes with a slight dose of Brit Invasion inspiration as well! The package is great – very detailed notes, and lots of groovy photos – and the whole thing's a really thoughtful representation of a scene we never would have gotten to dig otherwise. Titles include "A Tu Vera" by Tomcats, "Antimusical" by Miguel Rios, "Aun" by Los Huracanes, "Yo Te Vi" by Los Impala, "Shake Baby Shake" by 4 Jets, "Dance The Pulga" by Los Brincos, "You Be" by The Canaries, "Mientes" by Lone Star, "It Is My World" by Prou Matic, and lots lots more! ✨✧ Los YorksEl Viage – 1966 to 1974 ... CD
Munster (Spain), Late 60s/Early 70s. Used ... Out Of Stock
A cool career retrospective of Los Yorks – easily one of the groovinest groups on the Peruvian scene of the late 60s! Los Yorks are heavy in beat and garage styles – played with a sharp-edged groove that's somewhere between the best Sunset Strip and London combos of the mid 60s – but given a hip Latin American twist on some of the best numbers. Most tunes here are straight ahead rockers – heavy on guitar and organ – and a number of tunes are Spanish-language covers of better-known Anglo hits. The double-length set has full notes on the group in both English and Spanish – and the package features a few bits from their early 70s years, which haven't been as widely reissued. Titles include "Sin Exito", "Vallery", "Justo A Mi Gusto", "Abrazame", "Mira Tu", "Solo Estoy", "Abrazame Baby", "Sussie Q", "Caminaremos", "Facil Baby", and "La Alegria De Tu Amor". CD

✨✧ Traffic SoundVirgin ... CD
Mag/Munster (Spain), 1970. New Copy ... Out Of Stock
A legendary album from the Peruvian scene at the start of the 70s – a record from one of the key groups who were really helping deepen the sound of the music at the time, and take things far past some of the simpler Anglo-inspired music of the 60s! It's tempting to call these guys psychedelic, but they've also got so much more going on too – maybe a bit like some of the Argentine groups, in that they are allowing for regional instrumentation to play with electric elements – all while delivering tunes that have a surprisingly new level of thoughtfulness in the lyrics. The blend is a bit hard to describe, but it comes across instantly in the music – at a level that's made the set one of the true global rock classics of the decade! Titles include "Virgin", "Tell The World I'm Alive", "Yellow Sea Days (March 7th/March 8th/March 9th)", "Jews Caboose", "A Place In Time Called 'You And Me'", "Simple", "Meshkalina", and "Last Song". ✨✧ MillenniumOriginal Sound Sessions 1967/1968 ... LP
Munster (Spain), Late 60s. New Copy ... Out Of Stock
Millennium were a legendary late 60s group – one who only gave the group one true album during the time of their brief existence, but who left behind lots of rare material in the studio – much of which has been discovered over the years, and added to the too-small recorded legacy of the group! Production here is from leader Curt Boettcher – part of that same sunny Cali generation as Brian Wilson, Gary Husher, and other studio giants – working here with his own group to craft an amazingly fresh sound that's deeper than the usual sunshine pop work of the period, but shares all the best elements with that music – including great harmonies and impeccable production that really make these tunes sparkle, and bring out the best in their original songwriting. The cuts here are from sessions that later yielded the group's album Begin – and while a few are alternates, most didn't appear on that set – a list of 14 tracks that include "Share With Me", "Baby It's Real", "Suspended Animation", "I Just Don't Know How To Say Goodbye", "A Younger Me", "Dying With You", "Once Upon A Time", "Breakdown", "I Need To Be By Your Side", "Can You See", and "How Much I Love You".
