An album that came out early in the career of the Brand New Heavies, and one that brings together a whole host of tracks from the early years of the group – rare material that never made it on their albums, and which resonates strongly with the wickedly sharp vibe of their first album! There's plenty of classic jazz funk modes going on here, from the group who helped bring the mode back into favor at the start of the 80s – and the set features vocals on a few tracks from different singers – including Jay Ella Ruth, Linda Muriel, and Jan Kincaid – who expand the sound past the usual N'Dea Davenport groove. Tracks include "Never Stop" (unreleased version), "Country Funkin", "Reality", "Rest Of Me", "Day At The Seaside", "Dream Come True" (1988 version), and "Mother's Tongue". Great stuff, with loads of killer cuts! LP, Vinyl record album
