Lysergic Sound, 1968. New Copy (reissue)... Temporarily Out Of Stock
One of those super-rare albums that never went beyond the stage of being a demo, yet which has gone on to be the stuff of legend over the years – maybe in part because it was later discovered to be an obscure side project by the legendary Wrecking Crew of LA 60s studio fame! The approach here is sunshine pop at its best – mixed male/female vocals, working with really well-crafted backings that were all arranged by Allyn Ferguson, who also penned all of the tracks! The vibe is maybe somewhere between Free Design and the Alan Copeland Singers – and the set is every bit as groovy as our favorites from both groups. Titles include "Playtime", "Calico Bus", "Time", "Come Out In The Sun", "Ride A Pink Horse", and "Candy Egg". LP, Vinyl record album
(Limited edition pressing.)

Lysergic Sound, 1960s/1970s. Near Mint- ... $19.99
Sweeping psychedelia and heavenly hard rock from the late 60s through the 70s – a compilation of fuzzy and tripped out rock for Jesus! Some of the grooves our on the heavier or more lumbering side, others are more cleanly grooving, but are similar in devotion and for their breaking boundries in their mode of praise – totally unlike perceived notions of Christian rock, and filled with really cool tunes. Some are more obscure than others, and all well chosen for this exceptional compilation. Titles include "Love Come Down" by The New Folk, "Where Could I Go" by First Revelation, "I've Been Walkin" by Earthen Vessel, "Jesus Is Mighty To Save" by Jesus Band, "Put Your Sprit Inside Me" by Four Corner Gospel Experience and more. LP, Vinyl record album
(Un-numbered edition.)

Lysergic Sound, Late 60s/Early 70s. New Copy ... $19.99
The depths of the American underground during the psychedelic years never fail to amaze us – and this collection is a good illustration why – because it's filled with rare gens and under-discovered tracks that haven't been reissued before – even after decades of psych compilations have plumbed the depths of the indie hinterland! Yet there's still plenty more to discover – and the discoveries here are great – full of freak and fuzz, and pulled both from rare singles, and some unreleased tapes – all with a quality level that matches the legendary first volume in this series. Titles include "Makes Me Wanna Hollar" by Osceola, "Blue Sea Circus" by Greylock Mansion, "Concrete #1" by Ken Boe, "It All Comes Back" by Gidian's Bible, "Something Happened" by Hindenburg Lyon, "In The Desert" by Ark, "Heat" by The Fabulous Fish, and "Hey Jim" by SOS. LP, Vinyl record album
(Limited edition of 600 – with a cool booklet of notes!)

Something Weird/Modern Harmonic, 1967. New Copy CD & DVD ... $17.99 18.99
Groovy sounds for a somewhat creepy film – an obscure 1967 exploitation documentary about the underground hippie sex scene in San Francisco! The record is almost like a mini-movie in sound – in that it features a narrator describing various scenes in the city's underground, while backed by music that features tabla and sitar, all setting a very psychedelic backdrop! The narration is often upfront and no-nonsense – definitely designed to shock, but also not judging the scene at all – and there's some occasional sound effects, and grunts and groans from the folks onscreen. And if that's not enough, the package also comes with a DVD of the entire film – a very rare b-movie relic that was thought to be lost forever! Titles include "Lysergic Sitar Delusions", "Sitar Sit Ra", "Uptight & Hungup", "LSD The Last Plateau", "A Thin Pad", and "Universe Me Now". CD
(Includes the DVD of the entire film!)
