Photographer Camilla McGrath has a great way with a face, and great access to a variety of very striking faces as well – as the artist came from higher up in Italian society in the 70s, which gave her access to countless key cultural figures at the time – a mix of American and European artists and musicians who are featured here in hundreds of black and white images from the 70s through the 90s! The scope of subjects is huge – Jack Nicholson, Mick Jagger, Joan Didion, David Hockney, and countless others – all shot in very relaxed settings, usually at a party or around the house – sometimes posed, often candid, and with a great eye for the individual character of their faces. The book is huge, 341 pages, hardcover, with mostly black and white photographs, and a few color images too – plus some notes on Camilla and her work. Book
Patti Smith gave the world some very personal details in previous autobiographical volumes – but this book is possibly a bit more philosophical, as it follows Smith on a musical journey that begins in 2016, and runs the course of the lunar year – as Patti moves from California eastwards. The book is certainly memoir, but penned with the more poetic spirit of her writings – that quality that first made her lyrics so striking back in the 70s, and which has continued to evolve as Smith has become more of an author in her later years. Patti's wit is often balanced with open, honest moments that come across with a surprising amount of power – and although short, the book packs plenty of punch. This edition is 171 pages, with a number of black and white images. Book

Two rare takes on this classic Bob Dylan tune from Infidels – both nicely different! Take 1 features Dylan on voclas, piano, and harmonica – with Mick Taylor on guitar over the very cool rhythm section of Alan Clark on keyboards, Robbie Shakespeare on bass, and Sly Dunbar on drums – and Take 5 changes it up nicely, with the replacement guitar of Mark Knopfler, who gives the tune a nicely different sound. Both tracks recorded April 11, 1983 at Power Station in NYC. 7-inch, Vinyl record
