✨✧ Clark Terry & Red MitchellJive At Five ... CD
Enja/Ultra Vybe (Japan), 1988. New Copy ... Temporarily Out Of Stock
One of the hippest records ever cut by Clark Terry – a spare set of duets with bassist Red Mitchell – all in a mode that's really quite unique! We can't think of too many other trumpet/bass duet albums – especially in a straight jazz mode – and Red further adds to the sound nicely by bringing in a bit of piano and some occasional vocalizations too! But the real highlight here is his work on bass – in that round, warm tone that he developed strongly while working on the European scene – almost a subtle wall of sound in its own right – and a unique foil for Terry's more sprightly lines on trumpet (plus a bit of flugelhorn.) Titles include "Late Date", "Jive At Five", "Prelude To A Kiss", "Lester Leaps In", "Cute", "Cottontail", and "Love You Madly". CD features alternate takes of "Cute" and "Cottontail". CD

✨✧ Renegades Of JazzHip To The Jive ... CD
339 (Netherlands), 2012. Used ... Out Of Stock
Funky club with jazzy touches – all served up in a stripped-down mode that takes us back to some of our favorite dancefloor experiments of the 90s! The groove here is somewhere in the house-y side of the Acid Jazz scene of early 90s London, or mid-decade work from the Tokyo club jazz crowd, or even a bit like "Hot Music" from Soho – a tune that would be a great comparison for the sound of this sweet little set! Rhythms are built from lots of sampled live jazz passages – so there's an acoustic warmth throughout, even when things are processed – and there's enough live jazz instrumentation to keep a spontaneous feel in the music as well. Titles include "Karabine", "Get A Wiggle On", "Voodoo Juju", "Black Milk", "Hip To The Jive", and "Solitaire". CD

ClipseHell Hath No Fury ... LP
Jive/Get On Down, 2006. New Copy Gatefold (reissue)... Just Sold Out!
The long-gestated follow up to the breakout Lord Willin' record by Clipse! Hell Hath No Fury may have been on ice for years, but it appeared as an instant classic, WAY up at the top of the list of greatest hip hop LPs of the mid 00s. The Neptunes beats are very spare and chilly, despite the fiery title – while the Pusha T & Malice style of precise storytelling and detached deliveries probably make them one of the most natural duos in the game. A gritty rap masterpiece. Tracks include "We Got It For Cheap", "Momma I'm So Sorry", the masterful "Mr Me Too" feat Pharrell, "Wamp Wamp (What It Do)" feat Slim Thug, "Dirty Money", "Ride Around Shining" feat the Re-Up Gang, "Key's Open Doors", "Chinese New Year" feat Rosco P Coldchain, "Nightmares" feat Pharrell & Bilal and more. Millie JacksonImitation Of Love ... CD
Jive, 1986. Used ... $14.99
Sweet 80s groove from Millie Jackson – a set that's got a very different vibe than her famous southern soul work of the 70s – but one that still has the singer very much at the top of her game! The backgrounds are a bit more electric than before – especially the rhythms – but Jackson's raspy, raw approach to the lyrics really holds fast – and, if anything, helps make the set a new vision in rootsy soul for a more contemporary generation. Some of the "nasty gal" tones of previous years are put on the backburner – and Millie returns to those mellower ballads that were always some of her strongest work – really shining nicely on tracks that include "It's A Thang", "An Imitation Of Love", "Hot Wild Unrestricted Crazy Love", "Wanna Be Your Lover", "Love Is A Dangerous Game", and "I Fell In Love". Smoke CityHeroes Of Nature ... CD
Jive, 2001. Used ... $9.99
A really beautiful album from Smoke City – one of their most Brazilian-tinged efforts yet, and a sunny blend of London soul with the warmth of the Rio scene. The group, if anything, have only gotten gentler over the years – and this album's a sweet mix of light vocals, acoustic guitar, keyboards, and percussive touches that add a somewhat earthy quality to the set. Most tracks have a languid groove that's perfect for a hot summer afternoon – slinking lazily across the beats and keys – and titles include "Mr", "London", "Can You Feel That", "Life Can Be Sweet", "This Song", and "After The Splash". ✨✧ Tribe Called QuestWe Got It From Here – Thank You 4 Your Service ... LP
Jive, 2016. Near Mint- 2LP ... Temporarily Out Of Stock
A hell of a comeback for Tribe Called Quest – maybe one of the best musical comebacks ever, and a fantastic reminder of why we loved the group so much in the first place! 18 years have passed since we last heard from the trio (now, sadly, a duo) – and that time only seems to have sharpened their sound, and given them a more powerful presence than ever! Everything we loved about them is still very firmly in place – that sense of collaboration, almost improvisation in a jazz-like way, and those moments of surprise and wonder at all the deft turns they can take in a short space. Yet there's also a new edge – one that might be even more powerful in this highly politicized moment in American history – a bite that the group never had before, and a larger social agenda that makes all of their incredible skills even more amazing, when focused on a target. We've certainly missed them – but the album's also well worth the wait! Titles include "Black Spasmodic", "The Donald", "The Space Program", "We The People", "Solid Wall Of Sound", "Dis Generation", "Kids", "Melatonin", "Enough", "Movin Backwards", and "The Killing Season". ✨✧ Kool Moe DeeHow Ya Like Me Now ... LP
Jive, 1987. Near Mint- ... Out Of Stock
Kool Moe Dee's second album – a benchmark moment in mid-to-late 80s solo rap – and definitely worth a post millennium revisit! The title cut is a prime relic of the Kool Moe Dee vs. LL Cool J battles back in the day, and that along with "Wild Wild West" are bonafide classic cuts – but the a lot of the lesser remembered tracks here are ultimately just as nice. Even though it's only his second album, Moe was a block rockin' veteren by this point, with an MC pedigree stretching back to Treacherous Three, and is probably his sharpest point. Other tracks include "Suckers", "Way Way Back", "No Respect", "Don't Dance", "I'm A Player" and "Get Paid". LP, Vinyl record album

The last Tribe Called Quest LP – one of those "end of an era" type experiences for sure – and record that was fairly slept on it the time given the dizzying heights of their earlier record – and holds up today as an essential! The tracks are all produced by The Ummah featuring J Dilla, and just a solid bed of production that's a reminder of how this excellent style of hip hop production excels so sweetly at both looking forward and making 70s soul jazz beats sound forever fresh – with tracks including "Pen & Pad", "Find A Way", "Like It Like That", "Steppin' It Up" (featuring Busta Rhymes & Redman), "Rock Rock Y'all" (featuring Mos Def, Jane Doe, Punchline & Wordsworth.) As an added bonus, the CD includes six rare classic Tribe Called Quest alternate tracks and remixes that this point only ever appeared on 12-inches – including the classic "Scenario" remix, "Oh My God" remix, "Hot Sex", "One, Two Sh*t", and "Jazz (We Got)" re-recorded version. A masterpiece from prime era Tribe Called Quest! Midnight Maurauders was Tribe's third LP, and even though there were no tracks yet credited to the Ummah, this is pretty much the beginning of Tribe's transition to that sound – with the same mellow, laid back vibe as their best early material, but less of an overtly jazzy reference in their sound. Phife and Tip are still on point lyrically, and honestly, this is pretty much the last LP that Tribe dropped that's got nearly all hits and no misses on it. The mid 90s classic from Underground Kingz – they're commercial breakthrough, with all the uncompromising grit of their first few records on the lyrical tip, albeit with a stripped down soulful resonance to the beats. The gritty rhymes is the unifying element here, with tracks that split the difference between lean, crisply bouncing, hard-hitting production and surprisingly soul and funk steeped tracks. It works great on both sides of that style divide, and it's little wonder that made such a big impact at the time. Stands the test of time, too. Titles include "One Day", "Murder", "Pinky Ring", , "Touched", "F*** My Car", "Diamonds & Wood", "Good Stuff" and "Ridin' Dirty". LP, Vinyl record album

Polygram, 1977. Used 2 CDs ... Just Sold Out!
Yes, it was a mega-hit – and yes, it was one of those records that everyone who lived through the 70s seemed to own at one time – but after all these decades, you can't deny the power of the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack – especially for the way that it mixed club soul classics with new original material! Obviously, the Bee Gees cover placement make them big stars of the record – but the set's also got some great early disco gems – like "Open Sesame" by Kool & The Gang, "Disco Inferno" by The Trammps, "KJEE" by MFSB, "Calypso Breakdown" by Ralph MacDonald, "Fifth Of Beethoven" by Walter Murphy, "If I Can't Have You" by Yvonne Elliman, "Boogie Shoes" by KC & The Sunshine Band, and "More Than A Woman" by Tavares. The Bee Gees reinvent themselves from the early days – and sing "Stayin Alive", "How Deep Is Your Love", "More Than A Woman", "Jive Talkin", "You Should Be Dancin", and "Night Fever" – and the set also features a few instrumentals by David Shire – "Manhattan Skyline", "Night On Disco Mountain" and "Salsation". PS Records/Tidal Waves, 1974. New Copy (reissue)... On May 28, 2021
A pretty hip batch of soul jazz tracks – recorded by drummer Frank Derrick live at Fiddler's nightclub in Chicago. Derrick's group plays a bit of everything – from Eddie Harris funky jazz to driving big band numbers to organ-heavy soul jazz numbers – all with a nicely heavy bottom that really gives the tracks an edge! The recording quality is nicely rumbly at times – almost giving the record the feel of some of those great local school band records from the same period – but the album's even better than those, because the tunes here are all original numbers – with a great overall conception that's a lot fresher than the usual album of this sort! Titles include "No Jive", "Jazz Scene", "Variations In Jazz", "Inspiration", and "Socialite Suburbanite". LP, Vinyl record album

A perfect example of the old adage that the funkier the band's name is, the less funky their music will be! Not that the group's really that bad or anything – they're just not the all-out party jam you'd expect from an ensemble with "ebony" and "funk" in their name. The groove is more smooth funky soul than anything else, and the record was produced by Carl Davis for his Chi-Sound imprint, and it's got a similar sound to some of the other groups on the label, like Manchild. Beautiful sounds from Tanzanian guitarist Frank Humplick – who plays here alongside vocal harmonies from his two sisters – in a mode that's almost like a East African cross between The Carter Family and Andy & The Bey Sisters! The vibe is different, of course – as the raw guitar lines dominate the sound more strongly, and are offset by the warmer harmonies of the sisters – while Frank sometimes delivers a lead vocal with a style that's a bit more rough around the edges, but no less charming! The package is a great overview of these vintage sounds, in the best Mississippi style – and titles include "Shida", "Tuwe Sawa", "Beba Jive", "Nakusalimu", "Kafo Mshiki", "Mwanangu Lala", and "Sharu Shechisia". A double-length killer from Willis Jackson – a single CD that brings together two different albums recorded at the same concert performance! Jackson's Action is a stone cooker from tenorist Willis Jackson, who always seems to burn even stronger than usual in concert performance! The group is raw, rough, and plenty swinging – the great Pat Martino on guitar, Carl Wilson on organ, and Joe Hadrick on drums – plus additional trumpet from Frank Robinson, who really blasts out nicely in the frontline with Jackson! The rhythms are amazing – very snapping and catchy, with almost an early modal soul jazz vibe – and titles include a great long version of "Jive Samba", which sounds very similar to Jackson's amazing Prestige classic "Nother'n Like Thuther'n" – plus the cuts "I Wish You Love", "Monkey Hips", "Aw Right Do It", and "Jackson's Action". Live Action is equally great – recorded at the same time, with the same players, and a tremendous little groove – on titles that include "Blowin Like Hell", "Hello Dolly", "Gator Tail", "Satin Doll", and "Blue Gator". One of Quincy Jones' best for Mercury Records in the 60s – a very groovy record that was done with a feel that's somewhere in between his Big Band Bossa album and his best 60s soundtrack work! The format is simple – Quincy picks a sweet batch of jazz semi-hits from the early 60s, plays them with a nice mix of soul jazz arrangements, and works with a great ensemble filled with wonderful players – including Roland Kirk, Budd Johnson, Seldon Powell, James Moody, and Jerome Richardson on reeds; Lalo Schifrin and Patti Brown on piano, Jim Hall on guitar, Clark Terry on trumpet, and Melba Liston on trombone – plus lots of great percussion at the bottom, helping bring some Latin energy to the grooves at points. The group's a kick-ass one – with a host of all-star players like Jerome Richardson, Jerry Dodgion, Eddy Daniels, Seldon Powell, Roland Hanna, Richard Davis, and of course Jones and Lewis themselves – and the overall groove is similar to the Clarke-Boland Big Band at their best. Lots of rolling riffing rhythms, and breakout solos that really respect the members of the group – and which light a fuse under nearly every track. The set's got this very universal appeal – earlier South African jazz modes blended with changes in 70s funk and soul – almost like a looser take on the music of Earth Wind & Fire, but with more focus on the instrumental elements overall! And those elements are great all the way through – with work from Dick Khoza on percussion, alongside lots of tenor, trumpet, trombone, and electric piano by a very jazzy lineup – plus vocals from Edger Dirgole too. Slammin live work from the legendary Brother Jack McDuff – a player who was almost better on the bandstand than he was in the studio! First up is the album Live – a killer, and one of three live sides McDuff cut for Prestige during the 60s – a monster session of stretched-out jazzy grooves, with many fine little dancers, and a raw soulful feel throughout! The group's one of Jack's best – as Red Holloway's tenor blows and hollers over the fingerpoppin' grooves delivered by a young George Benson on his first major guitar gig – and the soulful drums of Joe Dukes scatter across the place, taking the whole band into some incredible rhythms! Titles include cookin' live versions of "Rock Candy", "Sanctified Samba", "Undecided", and "A Real Goodun'". Live At The Jazz Workshop features a group that's one of Jack's best ever – a lineup that includes the twin tenors of Red Holloway and Harold Vick, plus incredibly sharp guitar from a young George Benson, and some of the most unique soul jazz drum work you'll ever hear – courtesy of the amazing Joe Dukes. Despite their individual strengths, which might make this whole thing an ego-fest – all players fit perfectly into place on the album's hard wailing batch of groovers, and groove together with a sympathetic energy that's simply amazing! A masterpiece of hard and heavy funk – from one of the best bands of the early 70s! The Nite Liters were a legendary funky combo that provided the backing for some of New Birth's best albums – but on their own, they were even funkier, and had a sound that was part JBs, part Meters, and all funky! This album may well be the group's best – their last for RCA, and a set that really has them honing their edge incredibly. The drums are amazing, the keyboards great, and the horns have this quality that's both complex, yet right on the money – making for a richness in sound that really sets the group apart from their contemporaries. A few singers from The New Birth provide chorus vocals on a few tracks – but most of the set is instrumental, and the record's one we'd gladly stack next to our Meters albums on Josie or JBs classics on People. Every track's a gem – and titles include "Drumology", "Excuse Me While I Do My Thing", "Serenade for a Jive Turkey", "Happy Hooker", "Craaashing", "Damn", "Pee-Foul", and a sweet cover of "Valdez in the Country" that's been sampled at least once over the years! A great second volume of pivotal episodes of The Johnny Otis Show from Ace Records and a compilation that represents two eras of Johnny Otis! On With The Show starts out by continuing the story of his late 50s and early 60s R&B years – then segues hard into his grittier funk-honed style of the late 60s and early 70s. The first half starts out right where Vol 1 left off – tracing his good-natured, rollicking R&B. Fittingly, this half of the set effectively ends with '61's "Hand Jive One More Time" and the next track, '67's "Keep The Faith", shows a remarkable transition in style to groove heavy soul and funk. It's all great – be it his charismatic riffs on the Bo Diddley beat that so characterized the "Hand Jive" era, to the ribald funk of "Signifying Monkey" and beyond. 24 tracks in all and featuring a great set of notes. Great work by one of the archetypal funky soul bands of the 70s – and a group whose impact is still being felt today! Of course, one of the reasons for that is Chaka Khan's incredible vocals – caught here at a prime early point, and very nicely set against some warm electric keyboards and tight groovy guitars – which provide a groove that's live and spontaneous, and never too forced – just the right kind of energy to work perfectly with her approach to the lyrics, without any of the too-polished modes you'd fine from copycat groups trying to fake a sound like this. Rufus had been with Chaka for years by this point – fusing together a sublime blend of funk, soul, jazz, and rock – a sound they forged woodshedding in Chicago in the early days, let loose in perfect studio territory on the west coast of the 70s. A really cool set that looks at the rise of late 50s beatnik culture from a variety of different styles – not just the jazz and poetry that marked that scene's biggest contribution to music – but also the wealth of modes that inspired those years too! The 3CD package features a stunning 57 titles in all – and begins in the late 30s with hard-edged small combo work and jive-heavy vocal tracks – then runs past WWII to include some bebop, R&B, and very cool vocal numbers – before moving into Greenwich Village classic sounds in a mix of spoken word, jazz poetry, and even a bit of folk! The booklet is filled with notes and history in both English and French – and titles include "The Beat Generation" by Bob McFadden, "High School Drag" by Phillipa Fallon, "The Nazz" by Lord Buckley, "American Haikus" by Jack Kerouac & Al Cohn, "Route 66" by Bobby Troup, "Gator Tail (part 2)" by Cootie Williams, "Rock & Roll" by Wild Bill Moore, "Killin Jive" by Cats & The Fiddle, "You'se A Viper" by Stuff Smith, "Scrapple From The Apple" by Les Double Six, "Kookie's Mad Pad" by Ed Byrnes, "So What" by Eddie Jefferson, "Howl" by Allen Ginsberg, "I Sing Of Olaf" by Roger Steffans, "Say Man" by Bo Diddley, "Shulie A Bop" by Sarah Vaughan, and "The Rocket Ship Show" by Jocko Henderson. Titles include "Celebration Suite" by Airto, "Jive Samba" by Jon Hendricks, "Eu Bebo Sim" by Osmar Milito, "Mr Funky Samba" by Banda Black Rio, "From The Lonely Afternoon" by Flora Purim, "Upa Neguinho (live)" by Elis Regina,"Manha De Carnival" by Louie Ramirez, "Barsanova Brown" by Eddie Cano, and more. VariousCult Cargo – Belize City Boil Up ... CD
Numero, Late 60s/Early 70s. New Copy ... $7.99 19.98
An amazing world of music – rare funk, soul, reggae, and other grooves from Belize – all beautifully compiled in the rich Numero Music style! We're really stunned by the set – as we had no idea at all that Belize had anything going on at this level – and the collection is an amazing surprise to our ears, filled with new delights at each turn, and clearly marking Belize as a new funky capitol on our ever-expanding map of musical understanding. Numero really outdid themselves with this package – going far beyond their already-great collections of work from the Bandit and Capsoul labels – to dig up a range of tracks that have never really made it out to the world at large, but which bubble over with influences from American funk and soul at the time. The notes are great, and the booklet's got plenty of excellent images to back up the writings – but the music is the real star of the set, and is presented on 16 tracks that include "More Love Reggae" and "Boogaloo A La Chuck" by Lord Rhaburn, "Theme From The Godfather" and "Backstabbers" by The Professionals, "Can't Go Halfway" and "Shame Shame Shame" by The Harmonettes, "Things Are Going To Work Out Right" and "Rated G" by The Web, "Funky Jive (parts 1& 2)" by Soul Creations, and "Long Time Boy" by Nadia Cattouse. VariousFlorida Funk – Funk 45s From The Alligator State 1968 to 1975 (US pressing with bonus track) ... CD
Jazzman/Now Again, Late 60s/Early 70s. Used ... $11.99
There's a whole lot more going down in Florida than alligators and Disney World – as you'll hear on this amazing little set! The package follows brilliantly in the tradition of Jazzman's Texas and Midwest Funk compilations – and like those collections, this one uncovers an incredible amount of under-heard music from an especially unlikely source! Florida is usually best remembered as the home of TK disco in the 70s, or contemporary club in more recent years – but back in the late 60s and early 70s, the state was a hotbed of indie funk activity – with loads of artists who were every bit as great as bigger names from points north, all working in an underground network of clubs, studios, and labels. The Jazzman team of Gerald Short and Malcolm Catto have really outdone themselves here – providing not only almost two dozen great funky tracks, but also a wealth of notes and information on each track – all served up in one really beautiful little package! The CD features a whopping 24 pages of notes and pictures all in color – with titles that include "Quit Jive'in" by Pearly Queen, "Cutting Room (Hot Pants)" by Oceanliners, "Super Cool" by Carrie Riley & The Fascinations, "Pure Funk (part 2)" by Delrays, "Do Right Man" by Sam Baker, "All The Time" by Bobby Williams & His Mar Kings, "Butterfly Theme" by Blowfly, "Lay It On Me" by Willie Johnson, "Funky Fast Bump" by The Outlaw Gang, "Na Na" by Coke, "Get Down" by The Montereys, "90% Of Me Is You" by Vanessa Kendrick, "Soft Soul" by Lavell Kamma, "Baby Don't Cry" by Third Guitar, "Spider Web" by Weston Prim & Backlash, "Soul Food" by Frankie Seay & The Soul Riders, "Save Me" by James Knight & The Butlers, and "It's Gonna Be A Mess (part 2)" by The Mighty Dogcatchers. US pressing features the bonus track "Soft Soul" by Lavell Kamma – and different cover art too! CD

A beautiful set of late 60s to early 70s Soweto township jive sounds – soulful, joyful and amazing numbers mostly only ever available on rare South African 45s – brought to the world at large by our friends at Strut Records! ✨✧ VariousSpiritual Jazz – Esoteric, Modal, & Deep Jazz From The Underground 1968 to 1977 (with bonus tracks) ... CD
Jazzman/Now Again, Late 60s/1970s. New Copy ... $6.99 15.98
The Jazzman label hits a whole new level of brilliance – as they turn their funk-trained crate digging skills to the world of spiritual jazz! The collection's an amazing batch of ultra-rare tunes – tracks that take inspiration from the John Coltrane/Archie Shepp work on Impulse Records in the 60s, then run with those roots in bold new directions – soaring, spiritual aims in jazz that reach for new freedoms, but never lapse into the totally-outside modes of free jazz! Instead, there's a really great balance here between structure and struggle – as many tunes often have a good rhythmic pulse, usually modal and soulful, then let the horn solos stretch out more in their own sounds and directions. The mix is amazing, as is the selection of tunes – rare numbers pulled mostly from American independent jazz releases of the 60s and 70s – most of which are as obscure as the funky 45s we normally get from Jazzman. As with the label's US funk compilations, there's full notes on all the music – a heck of a lot of detail on these artists – and tracks on the set include "Paul's Ark" by Morris Wilson Beau Bailey Quintet, "Ayo Ayo Nene" by Mor Thiam, "Nomusa" by Ndikho Xaba & The Natives, "The Afrikan In Winter" by The Positive Force, "Neveen" by Salah Ragab, "Ja Mil" by Hastings Street Jazz Experience, "Be There" by Leon Gardner, "Psych City" by Ohio Penitentiary 511 Jazz Ensemble, "Introduction" by James Tatum Trio Plus, and "No Jive" by Frank Derrick Total Experience. US pressing has 2 bonus tracks – "All Prasies To Allah (parts 1 & 2 edit)" by Lightmen Plus One, and "Bada Que Bash" by PE Hewitt Jazz Ensemble. CD

RSO, 1977. Very Good+ 2LP Gatefold ... Temporarily Out Of Stock
✨✧ Eugene BlacknellWe Can't Take Life For Granted ... CD
Luv N' Haight/Ubiquity, Late 60s/1970s. New Copy ... Temporarily Out Of Stock
A massive amount of rare work from East Bay funk maestro Eugene Blacknell – an artist who never cut a full album, but managed to record a lot of great funky tracks over the years! This package is the first ever full length set to focus on Eugene's work, and it's a treasure trove of guitar-heavy groovers – starting with some rough-edged, raw R&B-styled funk – then moving into some fuller party funk and boogie-styled numbers! Eugene's guitar is fully in the lead on most tracks – and the vibe of the later work is in a space that's somewhere between Bootsy Collins and Shuggie Otis – a very good place to be, in our opinion. The package was done in collaboration with Eugene's son, and features rare singles, remastered cuts, and even some exclusive and live tracks that have never seen the light of day before. The set features a whopping 25 tracks in all, all with great notes on Eugene's music and story – and titles that include "Cousin John", "Mo Self", "Jump Back", "Getting Down", "The Trip", "Dance To The Rhythm", "For The Sake Of Love", "Jive Kinda Friends", "Wah Wah Funk", "Space Funk", "Don't Stop Now", "Grov-ve Monkey", and even a few rare radio spots! An obscure little album from Jack "Mr Bongo" Constanzo – his only entry into the Latin Soul genre, and a really nice batch of grooves! Jacko's working here with singer Gerrie Woo – who sings in English on about half of the album's tracks, giving the set a nice pop-styled Latin groove that reminds us a lot of Willie Bobo's work for Verve, and some of the more unusual indie Latin albums of the time. The set's filled with loads of great numbers – including Hector Rivera compositions "Recuerdos", "Que Vengo Acabando", "Don't Squeeze The Peaches", and "Mambo Jack" – plus covers of "Jive Samba", "Words", and "Green Onions".
