Ghostface Killah36 Seasons ... CD
Salvation, 2014. Used ... $6.99
A really stunning set from Ghostface Killah – a record that has the Wu-Tang legend teaming up with soul group The Revelations – who produce the set, participate, and bring in a really wonderful old school vibe! The album's still hip hop at the core – with guest appearances from Pharoahe Monch, Nems, Kool G Rap, AZ, and others – but The Revelations also sing a bit too, bringing in a killer harmony approach that's often echoes by the instrumentation, which includes guitar from Wes Mingus and keyboards from Angela Johnson, who also sings a bit of backup as well. The whole thing's a stunning meeting of minds – almost 70s New Jersey soul filtered through 90s New York hip hop – and even the booklet is a collective effort, with comics from David Lapham and others. Titles include "Here I Go Again", "Dogs Of War", "The Battlefield", "Call My Name", "Pieces To The Puzzle", and a sweet cover of "Thin Line Between Love & Hate". CD
(Still sealed with hype sticker.)

Ghostface KillahGhostface Killahs ... LP
Music Generation Corp, 2019. New Copy ... $14.99 24.98
Ghostface in his raw and direct mode once again, sounding pretty great after a string of collaborative and more theme oriented efforts – definitely more in the vein of his work around Supreme Clientele and Fishscale that more recent records in which he shared billing with producers and players like Adrian Younge and Badbadnotgood. Nothing fancy, just rock solid raw hip hop with sharp dart rhymes by a legend – with appearances by Method Man & Cappadonna, Sun God & Shawn Wigs, Eamon, Solomon Childs & Inspectah Deck. Titles include "Me Denny & Darryl", "Burner To Burner", "Flex", "Conditioning", "Fly Everything", "New World", "The Chace" and more. LP, Vinyl record album

✨✧ Ghostface Killah & Adrian YoungeTwelve Reasons To Die ... LP
Linear Labs, 2013. Sealed ... Temporarily Out Of Stock
Ghostface Killah and Adrian Younge team up for this most intriguing artist and producer/composer collaboration – one with a promising concept and they deliver in full – shadowboxing their way to a knockout! On the mic tip, Ghostface is in his comfort zone – spitting lyrics laced with martial arts, mafia and supernatural imagery – and doing so with a furious flow and peak precision. Adrian Younge and his Venice Dawn group lay down the sounds – with dusty soul and funk, naturally – but what really pushes this one to a superior level are the unpredictable and ingenious nods to 70s Italian film scores, particularly in the giallo genre. Spooky, echoey keyboards and occasional angelic female backing vocals elevate the vibe and balance the grit. 12 tracks and no filler: "Beware The Stare", "Rise Of The Black Suits", "I Declare War" with Masta Killa, "Blood On The Cobblestones" with U-God & Inspectah Deck, "Rise Of The Ghostface Killah", "Murder Spree" with U-God, Masta Killa, Inspectah Deck and Killa Sin, "Enemies Around Me" with William Hart of the Delfonics, "The Sure Shot (Parts 1 And 2)", "Twelve Reasons To Die" and more. ✨✧ Ghostface Killah & Adrian YoungeTwelve Reasons To Die 2 ... LP
Linear Labs, 2015. New Copy ... Out Of Stock
A superior sequel to Ghostface Killah & Adrian Younge's Twelve Reasons To Die saga – cementing the mid teens Ghostface creative resurgence in a major way – with some of the finest production work by Younge to date! It's a stunning reminder of how sharp Ghostface can be this late in the game when he's really feeling it, and he's a gracious host here, too – collaborating with Raekwon on the mic throughout the record, even featuring some moody narration by RZA – and seriously impressive guest appearances by Scarab, Lyrics Born, Chino XL and Bilal. There's a real mythology to the project, with a loose, but genuinely compelling narrative arc – combining prime Wu school crime noir rhymes and soundtrack funk production inspired by giallo, Blacksploitation and Younge's own distinct genius. Includes "Powerful One", "Daily News", "Return Of The Savage" with Raekwon & RZA, ,"Death's Invitation" with Scarab, Lyrics Born and Chino XL, "King Of New York", "Let The Record Spin" and "Blackout" with Raekwon, "Resurrection Morning" with Raekwon and Bilal and "Life's A Rebirth" with RZA. Linear Labs, 2015/2019. New Copy 2 x 7 inch (pic cover)... Out Of Stock
A pair of tracks from one the finest, moodiest, cinematic hip hop soul projects of the past couple decades – plus Serato Control Tones – in a beautiful 2 X 7" picture disc set! Legendarily wordy street hop hero Ghostface Killah is as energized as he's been in years on these tracks, and with producer/composer Adrian Younge delivering top shelf original funky soul, guests as brilliant as Vince Staples and Jack Waterson in the mix, this is pretty much a late period classic for Ghost and most certainly built to stand the test of time. The double picture discs are beautiful enough, but the DJs get even more bang for their buck with the Serato sides. 7-inch, Vinyl record

Czarface & Ghostface KillaCzarface Meets Ghostface ... CD
Silver Age, 2019. New Copy ... $9.99 15.98
A thematic rap triumph from the hip hop superhero team of Czarface – already a veritable supergroup featuring Boston underground veterans 7L & Esoteric with the Wu Tang's Inspectah Deck – bringing in Wu MVP Ghostface Killah for the unsurprisingly massive Czarface Meets Ghostface! One of the standout facets of the Czarface project since the beginning is they way 7L, Esoteric and Inspectah Deck roll with the comic book hero theme without overdoing it in a way that pushes the thematic vibe into gimmickry – major props to 7L for laying down fuzzy funk beats and comic book action in a way that's action-packed larger than life, yet succinct and on target – and doesn't hurt bring in some of the best rappers in the game on each successive effort. Includes "Back At Ringside", "Face Off", "Iron Claw", "Czarcade '87", "Powers & Stuff", "Masked Superstars", "The King Heard Voices", "Listen To The Color", "Mongolian Beef" and "(Post Credits Scene)".
