✨✧ Dusty GrooveDusty Groove Tote Bag – 100% Cotton Black/White ... Bag
Dusty Groove Gear, 2018. New Item ... Out Of Stock
A sweet small tote for bringing your records around town – a light bag that can carry up to 20 albums, but also fold up nice and small! The bag is cotton, and stronger than you might expect – but it's also light enough to stuff in a pocket, or keep within a backpack – ready at the go for when you've got some vinyl to tote, and pretty darn great for other small items too! Canvas is black, with a white Dusty Groove logo on one side – and the handles are big enough to slide over your shoulders if needed. Bag

✨✧ James RobinsonGuilty ... LP
Tabu, 1987. Near Mint- ... Out Of Stock
One of the few records ever cut by James Robinson – a smoothed-voiced singer who should have been one of the bigger ballad stars of his time! Robinson's got a deep range to his style – and works here in some gently-stepping numbers that really stand head and shoulders above most of the soul music love songs of the time – almost at a level that recalls the poise and class of the quiet storm generation, but a bit more contemporary too. Titles include "Can We Do It Again", "Guilty", "Just What I've Been Missing", "You're The One I've Been Dreaming Of", "When You'll Be Mine", and "Seems So Long". LP, Vinyl record album

✨✧ Isley BrothersLive It Up ... LP
T Neck/Columbia, 1974. Very Good+ ... Temporarily Out Of Stock
Mid 70s genius from the Isley Brothers – a record that has them firmly hitting their superstar mode with a fantastic blend of mellow soul and guitar-heavy funk! The record's got a sense of class, care, and poise that's head and shoulders above most of the group's contemporaries – an ability to rock out one minute, then slow things down for a beautiful ballad the next – all while maintaining enough credibility to still hold onto older fans, yet also reach out to a much bigger audience in the mainstream. Titles include the sublime "Ain't I Been Good To You (parts 1 & 2)", a long track with a sinister bassline and a dark groove that really makes it great, a great cover of "Hello It's Me" that's even better than the original, and the key mellow cuts "Lover's Eve" and "Brown Eyed Girl" – plus "Live It Up (parts 1 & 2)", "Need A Little Taste Of Love", and "Midnight Sky (parts 1 & 2)". LP, Vinyl record album
(Includes the printed inner sleeve.)

✨✧ DamonSong Of A Gypsy (with bonus LP) ... LP
Now Again, 1968. Near Mint- 2LP ... Out Of Stock
An amazing reissue of this now-legendary album – once a lost psych oddity, but a set that's gone onto make plenty of waves over the years! Song Of A Gypsy may well be one of the best self-issued psych sets from the American underground – a really well-written, well-recorded record that has a very dark personal vision – an approach to the music that's instantly unique, and which shows that digging for rare psych albums can really yield the occasional gem that stands head and shoulders with the bigger names of the time! Damon's voice is darkly spooky, and couched with these cool flanged-out guitar lines on the sides – creating a space that's very personal, and which seems to let the lyrics hit these qualities that go much deeper than usual. The core album's been treasured for years by the few fans who had an original copy, and by a few more who had a previous reissue – but this double-length set is the first to ever tell the true tale of the enigmatic Damon – with a huge 64 page booklet of notes, and a massive amount of rare bonus tracks too. The core album includes "Song Of A Gypsy", "Funky Funky Blues", "Don't You Feel Me", "The Night", "Feel Your Love", "Oh What A Good Boy Am I", and "Birds Fly So High". Bonus tracks include some demo and 45 versions of "Song Of A Gypsy", plus "Don't Cry", "Lonely Surfer", "Bowlin Alley Jane", "Everything Is Alright", "The Little White Cloud That Cried", "I Wonder Why", and "I've Got My Pride". LP, Vinyl record album
(Includes the booklet, with slightly crinkled cover.)

✨✧ Lamont DozierBittersweet ... LP
Warner, 1979. Very Good+ ... Out Of Stock
It's hard to find fault with Lamont Dozier – even on one of his lesser albums, like this one! Lamont's best quality has always been his way with a song – and he's working here with a good batch of original tunes that all have sharp hooks and some very catchy choruses, perfect for his sweetly soulful vocal style, which is handled just right on the album. There's a few throwaway numbers on here, but the best material is head and shoulders above that of most of Lamont's contemporaries – and it's always amazing to us that he never was a bigger hit act during the 70s. The whole album's pretty nice – and titles include "I Got It All With You", "We're Just Here To Feel Good", "Fly Away Little Birdsong", and "Tough Act to Follow". LP, Vinyl record album
(Cover has a promo stamp.)
