Give It To The People

LP (Item 944569) Capitol, 1974 — Condition: Sealed

Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield get back together for this 70s set – working with production from Dennis Lambert and Brian Potter – on tunes that include "Lines", "Love Is Not A Dirty Word", "Dr Rock & Roll", "Dream On", "You Turn Me Around", "Give It To The People", and "I Just Wanna Be Me".  © 1996-2020, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(Sealed, with hype sticker! Cover has a cutout hole in the corner.)

Sealed

This is what it says, that the record is still held fast in shrink-wrap. We tend to be pretty suspicious about these things, so if the shrink-wrap doesn't look original, or if the record seems to have undergone some damage over time, we'll probably take it out of the wrapper to ensure that it's in good shape — which is why we don't have more of these. In some cases the shrink-wrap may be torn in spots, but if it's not possible the record has been taken out and played, the record will still qualify as "Sealed".

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Beach Boys

Friends
Capitol, 1968. Very Good
An under-discovered album from The Beach Boys – and one of our favorite records by the group! The set's kind of a slinking back to the personal, quirky territory of Smile, but with a somewhat more intimate, less-ambitious feel – one that comes off like a tapestry of simple expressions ... Hard to deny the lasting power of this crucial album from The Beatles – a set that unleashed some of their trippiest sounds and most tender moments too! Capitol, 1965. Very Good+
A mixed bag record, but with some really wonderful moments – and essential listening as a lead-up to the Pet Sounds album to follow! Very unusual – includes the original album, as a test pressing, inside of a special box – which then includes a puzzle of the front image, but with a "missing piece"! Also includes two bonus promo pins – which each fit the missing piece! LP, Vinyl record album

My Feet Are Smiling
Capitol, 1975. Very Good+
A really fantastic album from Leo Kottke – the kind of 70s material that really set him apart from the rest, and which really gave him a special place away from the acoustic underground of the time! Kottke started out with a album on Takoma Records that was every bit as great a guitar ... LP, Vinyl record album

Reflex never had much of a long recorded legacy – but they certainly made their mark with this classic album of 80s electro pop! Columbia, 1967. Very Good
Beautiful work from The Cyrkle – post-folk, partly-sunshine, and a treasure trove of really groovy tunes!
