A beautiful little record from obscure 50s vocalist Thelma Gracen – a singer from Chicago who once worked territory not too far from Dusty Groove! Thelma may not be the biggest name of her decade, but she's got a sound that's very worthy of this Emarcy debut – a gently sophisticated approach to jazz vocals that's often quite relaxed, but not in a sleepy or careless way. Backings here are small combo throughout – in a mode that's a bit like some of Helen Merrill's classics for the label at the time, but a bit warmer overall. All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly. If it does not, you can request a return for a full refund.
