This is what it says, that the record is still held fast in shrink-wrap.
We tend to be pretty suspicious about these things, so if the shrink-wrap doesn't
look original, or if the record seems to have undergone some damage over time,
we'll probably take it out of the wrapper to ensure that it's in good shape —
which is why we don't have more of these. In some cases the shrink-wrap may be
torn in spots, but if it's not possible the record has been taken out and played,
the record will still qualify as "Sealed".
Additional Marks & Notes
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Beautiful music from singer Tom Rapp – probably best known as the lead voice behind Pearls Before Swine, but a hell of a solo act on his own! The work here follows in the same moody, melancholic territory as the best ESP sides from Pearls Before Swine – but there's also a bit tighter ... LP, Vinyl record album
Titles include "The Seal Of Seasons", "Stones For Avalon", "She Was Born To Be My Unicorn", "Evenings Of Damask", and "Iscariot". LP, Vinyl record album
Classic tracks from the great pairing of Johnny Almond and Jon Mark – titles that include "The Ghetto", "The City", "Tramp & The Young Girl", "One Way Sunday", "Song For You", "Friends", and "Solitude". LP, Vinyl record album
Dave Mason's first solo album – and a pretty a great one! Alone Together wasn't a huge hit back in the day, but man is a ever a pleasing set. It's rich with blues & soul steeped lead vocals and sweet backing harmonies and bed of acoustic guitars at the core of most of the tunes – ... LP, Vinyl record album
Strange compilation focusing on a bunch of San Francisco rock and funk groups produced by Abe "Voco" Kesh. This is noteworthy for a bunch of early Sylvester stuff (and it's good, too), plus some funky stuff by Clifford Coulter. Also includes work by John Lee Hooker and Linda Tillery. ... LP, Vinyl record album
A great second set from guitarist Jon Mark and reedman Johnny Almond – both musicians who'd recorded great music in the 60s on their own, and also worked famously with John Mayall – but hit a really special vibe here of their own! Titles include "The Sausalito Bay Suite", ... LP, Vinyl record album
A strange album when put next to Love's Elektra records – and one that's not without its weaknesses – but the band's got a kick-ass drummer, and the record's filled with more than a few tasty moments that have a bit of funk in them. Layered with Arthur Lee's hip guitar, the sound is ... LP, Vinyl record album
An amazing collaboration between rock group Spooky Tooth and French composer Pierre Henry – a great meeting of the minds that comes out sounding pretty darn groovy! Henry's right at the height of his "Psyche Rock" experiments here – and he inflects the band's darker style ... LP, Vinyl record album
A brilliant soul album! That's right, we said SOUL album! Bowie was at the height of his Ziggy Stardust fame when this one was recorded – a drastic left-turn in styles, forged during a point in his American tour when he could take a break, head to Philly, plug in at the Sigma Sound Studios, ...
