On Tour

LP (Item 631022) MGM, 1965 — Condition: Sealed
Originally: 19.99
(Stereo pressing, still sealed with a cut corner and some sticker remnants.)

Sealed

This is what it says, that the record is still held fast in shrink-wrap. We tend to be pretty suspicious about these things, so if the shrink-wrap doesn't look original, or if the record seems to have undergone some damage over time, we'll probably take it out of the wrapper to ensure that it's in good shape — which is why we don't have more of these. In some cases the shrink-wrap may be torn in spots, but if it's not possible the record has been taken out and played, the record will still qualify as "Sealed".

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Chrysalis

Definition
MGM, 1968. Very Good+ Gatefold
The one-and-only album by upstate New York's wonderfully trippy psych-folk Chrysalis – a buried rock treasure from 1968. Definition is a strange title for the record, as the group refuses to be bound to any one – mixing laidback, trippy psychedelia, oddball folk, and meandering strains ... LP, Vinyl record album

Danyel Gerard

Danyel Gerard
Verve/MGM, 1972. Very Good Gatefold
A weird bit of folk funk rock – and a totally cool record on early 70s Verve! The album was recorded during the Mike Curb years at MGM – and has a similar pop crossover, adult hip kind of sound to some of Curb's other big success stories. The sound's an unusual blend of folk and ... LP, Vinyl record album

A B Skhy

Ramblin' On
MGM, 1970. Very Good
A lost hard rock gem from a Milwaukee quartet – produced by Kim Fowley with a sound that's as raw and garagey as his best indie productions from the mid 60s! These guys have all sorts of familiar elements in the mix – an influence from blues, a trippier style of guitar, and some nicely ... LP, Vinyl record album

Capitol, 1969. Near Mint-
One of Glen's last super-huge albums of the 60s – featuring the sublime Jimmy Webb-penned "Galveston", a track that must have been written for Glen's unique vocal style! The album also includes the hit "Where's The Playground, Susie?" – plus the tracks "Today&qu ... LP, Vinyl record album

Roxy Music

Stranded
Atco, 1973. Near Mint- Gatefold
Roxy Music's third album, and a record that really shows that the group have found a tremendous voice of their own – quite a thing to do, given the heady brew of records that were coming out in the year of 1973! There's a style here that's familiar enough to draw the listener in – ... LP, Vinyl record album

Tony Joe White

Tony Joe White
Warner, 1971. Near Mint- Gatefold
Tony Joe White's terrific self-titled set for Warner in '71 – his swamp rock mastery in full swing by this point, and all the cooler on a record that finds hip working with some occasional horns and lush bits of strings! There was really no finessing the grit out of the Tony Joe show, so the ... LP, Vinyl record album
London, 1970. Near Mint-
A landmark live set from the Rolling Stones – featuring material from their smoking tour of 1969! Badfinger

Ass
Apple, 1973. Near Mint-
A rawer Badfinger emerges on Ass – self-produced with a no frills vibe that was apparently something of a controversial way for the boys to record at the time, as Apple initially rejected it.
