Common Sense

LP (Item 625278) Atlantic, 1975 — Condition: Very Good+
Great Altantic Records work from John Prine – a set that features production from Steve Cropper, who partly recorded in Memphis – on titles that include "Saddle In The Rain", "My Own Best Friend", "Middle Man", "Common Sense", "Come Back To Us Barbara Lewis Hare Krishna Beauregard", "Wedding Day In Funeralville", and "He Was In Heaven Before He Died".  © 1996-2024, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Very Good + (plus)

  • Vinyl should be very clean, but can have less luster than near mint.
  • Should still shine under a light, but one or two marks may show up when tilted.
  • Can have a few small marks that may show up easily, but which do not affect play at all. Most marks of this quality will disappear when the record is tilted, and will not be felt with the back of a fingernail.
  • This is the kind of record that will play "near mint", but which will have some signs of use (although not major ones).
  • May have slight surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Please To See The King
Big Tree, 1971. Very Good+
There's a slight shift here from the first album by Steeleye Span – a bit of a shift to just a touch of electric guitar and organ next to the bass guitar lines of Ashley Hutchings – which makes for an even more sinister sound than before! In keeping with their approach, most songs are ... LP, Vinyl record album

Forward Motion

A killer second set from Section – a combo made up of key 70s studio players like Danny Kootch Kortchmar and drummer Craig Doerge!
