Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Used CD Grade

We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD". This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer Used CDs in the best shape possible. All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly — and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.

With our Used CDs, you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of surface marks — clean, and not dirty at all. You can also expect the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves — putting fresh cases on Used CDs we handle) — and you can expect the booklet to be in good shape, unless noted otherwise. We will list any specific details/defects underneath the item — so look for notes on cutout marks in the case, stamps on the barcode, or details like that.

Push Button Objects

360 Degrees Remixes
Chocolate Industries, 2000. Used
Featuring vocals from Del Tha Funkee Homo Sapien, Mr. Lif and cuts by DMC champ DJ Craze, this track has a much straighter beat than some of the more abstract electronics you might expect from Push Button, and gets remixed here by an all star cast. Spinna gives it a nice hard beat, with his ... CD

DJ Shadow

Endtroducing
Mo Wax, 1996. Used
It seems like when this came out, critics, and even DJs liked to drop the term "Trip Hop" whenever possible, and this album was held up as the watershed mark. A few years down the line and it still holds up, but as an instrumental hip hop LP, as much as a rock album (Shadow's gone on to ... CD

Digital Underground

Sex Packets
Tommy Boy, 1990. Used
Digital Underground's first album of P-Funky, hook heavy, party rockin hip hop for Tommy Boy! The first two albums by Shock G and the rest of the crew are classics, even if they don't get enough always get the props – possibly because the well the well of P-Funk samples wasn't necessarily ... CD
Rawkus, 1999. Used
Two nice ones from the late great Big L, one of the 90's most unfairly slept-on MC's – with straight-ahead production from Mike Heron of the Ghetto Pros and Roc Raida, and a Big L bio in the liner notes on the back. CD
Hot Plate, 2012. Used 2CD & DVD
Finally a strong full-length from Nu-Mark – the myriad strengths of which were amply hinted up via the epic 10" series that led up to it – and an album that packs plenty of diverse, timeless beatcraft and stellar guests on the mic! Nu-Mark's got a sharp, crisp edge with his beats ... CD

Game Theory
Okayplayer/Def Jam, 2006. Used
The Roots return with their first album on Def Jam – a rich batch of soulful, heavier moods, cultural reflection, and some incredible modern Philly funk playing behind the thoughtful rhymes – probably the deepest album to appear on Def Jam in the past decade or so! Game Theory shares ... CD
