Barry 7's Connectors – 21 Rare Library Tracks

LP (Item 559588) Lo Recordings (UK), Early 70s — Condition: Very Good+
2LP
A magical electronic trip through the 70s sound library scene – featuring a wealth of gems from UK companies like Chappell, Southern, and PIL – with a focus on tunes that have spacey keyboards, off-beat electronics, and lots of cool analogue synthesizer sounds! Of course, there's also enough funky grooves running through the set to make it more than just a straight trip into space – and if you dig the weird kind of soundtrack and lounge funky tunes, you'll find more than enough to keep you busy here. But the real focus is in creating an other-worldly sort of approach – one that's got a space–electronic–bossa–cocktail–rocketship–robot soul, kind of a 70s take on 90s electronics, but with more funky analogue grooves in the mix! Titles include "Weird Sounds No 1" by Georges Teperino, "Catch That Man" by Nino Nardini, "Erotica No 2" by Jiri Bezant, "Coconut Coast" by Roger Roger, "Scared Trip" by Doris Hays, "Quasars" by Sven Libaek, "Electronic Rhythms" by Eric Peters, "Preambule No 37" by Paul Bonneau, "Merry Go Sound" by Gary Bellington, and "Mobile" by Torri Zito. 21 tracks in all!  © 1996-2024, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Very Good + (plus)

  • Vinyl should be very clean, but can have less luster than near mint.
  • Should still shine under a light, but one or two marks may show up when tilted.
  • Can have a few small marks that may show up easily, but which do not affect play at all. Most marks of this quality will disappear when the record is tilted, and will not be felt with the back of a fingernail.
  • This is the kind of record that will play "near mint", but which will have some signs of use (although not major ones).
  • May have slight surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
