A great little soundtrack from Michel Legrand – an early American effort, done for a less-remembered Dean Martin film! The title track features vocals from the Ray Conniff singers, who sweeten up Legrand's sound a bit more than usual – but other tracks are instrumentals, and have a sprightly orchestral sound that's really great – possibly a bit less "French" than other Legrand scores, but still pretty wonderful. The theme that runs through all tunes is great, and handled on a variety of woodwinds and piano throughout. Titles include "The Sunnyside", "Punch & Judy Waltz", "Winds Of Change", "S'Il Vous Plait Bossa Nova", "Main Theme In Jazz", and "Thinking Voices". © 1996-2024, Dusty Groove, Inc.
