(White label promo in a Salsoul sleeve. Labels have initials in marker.)
Vinyl can have some dirt, but nothing major.
May not shine under light, but should still be pretty clean,
and not too dirty.
May have a number of marks (5 to 10 at most), and obvious signs of play,
but never a big cluster of them, or any major mark that would be very deep.
Most marks should still not click under a fingernail.
May not look near perfect, but should play fairly well,
with slight surface noise, and the occasional click in part of a song,
but never throughout a whole song or more.
This is clearly a copy that was played by someone a number of times,
but which could also be a good "play copy" for someone new.
Additional Marks & Notes
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
What a killer! "Sing Sing" is the lasting classic from Gaz – a disco track mostly, but one that starts out with a tight break, some great guitar, and which really grooves nicely all the way through! 12-inch, Vinyl record
A great tune from First Choice – a bit slower than some of their other disco hits, with a building soulful quality that's really great, and which includes a strong hook in the title phrase, one that really makes the song bubble! 12-inch, Vinyl record
A great little party cut from Skyy – one that starts out with lots of spare beats and space keyboard sound effects on this mix, then sliding into the track's famous guitar riff and sweet female vocals! A heck of a great single – the kind that will soar from speaker to speaker on the ... 12-inch, Vinyl record
Recorded after he left Roy Ayers' group, and with a different feel than the stuff he did in the early 70's, this track is Edwin Birdsong's big funk hit, and a tough one to find, too! The cut's got a snapping groove that's in a tight rollerskate funk mode – very nice all the way through, and ... 12-inch, Vinyl record
What can we say? Despite the stupid appearance of the band, "White Horse" was a classic breakdance/electro track that crossed over so big it had kids in Kansas running out to by parachute pants and squares of linoleum to play along with the kids in the Bronx. Despite that runaway hit ... 12-inch, Vinyl record
One of Bootsy's best tracks from the old days – served up here on a promo 12" single that was issued at the time of the Warner Archives CD release for The Best Of Bootsy. The remix is better than you'd expect, too – and really keeps the original flavor of the song! 12-inch, Vinyl record
Before Steinski & Mass Media were cutting up JB, there were medleys, and before Lee Fields and the whole crop of funk revivalists, there were plenty of artists out there aping James too. This early 80s 12" brings the best of both worlds together for a funky medley of "Papa's Got A ... 12-inch, Vinyl record
A split single from War, and lead singer Lonnie Jordan. "Galaxy" is a later funky classic by the group – strutting out with some sweet funky riffing, ensemble vocals, and a powerful groove that's always been a dancefloor pleaser! "Junkie To My Music" has a syncopated ... 12-inch, Vinyl record
