Strange Days

LP (Item 528130) Elektra, Late 60s — Condition: Very Good-
Plenty of gems – including "When The Music's Over", "People Are Strange", "Moonlight Drive", "Horse Latitudes", "Unhappy Girl", "Love Me Two Times", and "Strange Days".  © 1996-2023, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(Mid 70s butterfly label pressing with SRC stamp. Cover has some ringwear, edge wear, and bumped corners.)

Very Good - (minus)

  • Vinyl may be dirty, and can lack a fair amount of luster.
  • Vinyl can have a number of marks, either in clusters or smaller amounts, but deeper.
  • This is the kind of record that you'd buy to play, but not because it looked that great. Still, the flaws should be mostly cosmetic, with nothing too deep that would ruin the overall record.
  • Examples include a record that has been kept for a while in a cover without the paper sleeve, or heavily played by a previous owner and has some marks across the surface. The record should play okay, though probably with surface noise.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Happy Sad
Elektra, Late 60s. Near Mint-
One of Tim Buckley's greatest albums ever – thanks to some incredible work by Dave Friedman on vibes! Friedman's sound really brings out the jazziness in Buckley's writing and phrasing – making for a beautiful blend with the album's 12 string guitar work and acoustic percussion – ... Keep On Moving
Elektra, Late 60s. Very Good+
A fantastic funky record from the Butterfield Blues Band – a set that's much less in the blues style from which the group took their name, and very strongly in the hipper mixed-up blend of styles that were happening on the Cali scene at the end of the 60s! Love
Elektra, 1966. Very Good
Love's first album – a seminal bit of Sunset Strip rock, and every bit as powerful today as it was in the 60s! The style's a bit sharper-edged than the group's classic and more familiar Forever Changes set, but it's still pretty darn great – a completely fresh batch of guitar-heavy ...
