If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially

This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible.
When you purchase a Used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the
lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves),
and the booklet to be in good shape.
Used CDs may show some signs of use but if there are significant details or
defects we will list them underneath the item — just like we do with LPs —
so look there for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details.
All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws.
If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine
that it plays correctly —
and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.
Majestic work from Woody Shaw – the third volume of a rare live performance from 1977, one that features Woody at the height of his powers, running through long and beautiful tracks with a deeply soulful feel. The style here is similar to Woody's best work of the mid 70s on the Muse label ... CD
An excellent modern jazz set from tenor sax titan Eric Alexander – who has truly grown into one of the best players of his generation – and a killer set for the High Note label! There's always these, "whoa," moments on Alexander's records, where he's rolling along with an ... CD
A sweet little live set from the legendary Kenny Burrell – one that not only captures his still-great sounds on guitar, but which also features some Kenny's own words introducing the tunes! The format here is very up-close and personal – specially-selected songs that Burrell plays ... CD
Fantastic work from guitarist Pat Martino – a player who never seems to have lost his groove, and who might well be sounding even better in the past decade than a few years before! This album's got Pat in core trio formation – working with the organ of Pat Bianchi, whose sound ... CD
A bold quintet set from trumpeter Tom Harrell – one that's a bit more back to basics than some of his other recent outings – with an especially strong focus on horn solos spiraling out over the rhythms! Harrell's got a nice bit in his trumpet, and plays some moodier flugelhorn too ... CD
Warm, round, full-toned guitar from Russell Malone – a contemporary player, but one who's upheld a classic vibe for years! We love Russell best in a setting like this – a small combo date that elevates the player to territory that you might have found with Kenny Burrell or Grant Green ... CD
A partner album of sorts to Jimmy Smith's classic Midnight Special album – recorded during the same sessions as that one, and also featuring Stanley Turrentine on tenor and Kenny Burrell on guitar! The sound here is almost even more open and stretched out – with only 4 long tracks on ... CD
Wonderful stuff! Ben Webster blows soulful late night ballads over strings – a perfect combination, and a wonderful idea that was first executed on two LPs in the 50s: Music For Loving and Music With Feeling, both of which are reissued here with some extra unreleased material! Backings are ... CD
Oliver Nelson's follow-up to his classic Blues & The Abstract Truth session for Impulse – and like that one, a tremendous little album – filled with deep tones and wonderful colors in sound! The group here's a bit larger than before – an ensemble that includes Phil Woods on ... CD
