If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially

cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible.
When you purchase a Used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the
lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves),
and the booklet to be in good shape.
Used CDs may show some signs of use but if there are significant details or
defects we will list them underneath the item — just like we do with LPs —
so look there for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details.
All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws.
If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine
that it plays correctly —
and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.
A bold statement from this ambitious Chicago group – a righteous assemblage of musicians working in a tradition that's partly linked to the spiritual jazz of an earlier AACM era, but which is also keenly conscious of the underground soul of groups like Fertile Ground! At its core, there's a ... CD
One of the best songs ever by Mondo Grosso – redone nicely in 2 mixes, plus one instrumental version! The cut was written with Monday Michiru, who also sings lead vocals on the track – and it's got all the righteous soulful power of her best work. The hook is incredible, and the cut ... CD
A hard heavy track from this excellent Japanese funk combo! The cut starts with some pounding drums – batucada style – and rolls into a pumping house groove with nice touches like acoustic guitar, and lots of warm keyboard. Bird sings lead vocals on the main mix and the "MG 2.7 ... CD
A sweet little soul single from Mondo Grosso! "Now You Know Better" features wonderful soul vocals by Amel Larrieux – in a sweet floating way that reminds us a bit of Minnie Riperton crossed with Phoebe Snow, laying out a righteous message on top of acoustic guitar and jazzy ... CD
Macy Gray's steps to a higher level on The Id – this is no "sophomore slump" to our ears – actually a helluva lot better than her big selling debut! As on her first set, Macy's vocals are wonderful – totally unique, with that warm raspy soulful style that makes her one ... CD
A beautiful album from Beady Belle – the group and wonderful vessel for the seductive, entrancing voice and songs of Beate S. Lech – possibly their best yet! Beady Belle have made deeply engaging blend of modern jazzy soul and beautiful mood music for most of the outs, taking a step ... CD
The second outing from vocalist Lizz Wright – done in the same sweetly folksy style as her debut, but in a way that seems to have even more of a focus overall. The backing on the set is especially nice – mostly just spare keyboards, bass, and drums, plus some great work on acoustic ... CD
A killer of an album from Jamiroquai – the first time we really sat up and took notice, and said "hey, these guys are onto something good!" The record's pretty darn great all the way through – a warm batch of tunes that starts with a classic 70s mode that's part Stevie Wonder ... CD
Monday Michiru returns to one of our favorite modes from her early years – collaborative grooves cut with some of the best talents of the underground – all of whom breathe incredible new life into her Brasilified album! We loved that record to death – and so did most of you ... CD
A real breakout set from the young Joshua Redman – the kind of record that made some mighty big ripples in the jazz world at the time – and which ended up in more record collections than we can count – and for good reason, too! The group's a rock-solid quartet – with Redman ... CD
Probably the most hyped hip hop album by rock critics of the last decade – but don't hold that against Stankonia, because these ghetto grooves from planet P-Funk were exactly what world needed in 2000! The millenium blowout party jam feel throughout is surely a nice change of pace from all ... CD
