Ismism (black cover)

LP (Item 168431) Polydor (UK), 1981 — Condition: Very Good+
(Cover has edge wear, mild corner bend.)

Very Good + (plus)

  • Vinyl should be very clean, but can have less luster than near mint.
  • Should still shine under a light, but one or two marks may show up when tilted.
  • Can have a few small marks that may show up easily, but which do not affect play at all. Most marks of this quality will disappear when the record is tilted, and will not be felt with the back of a fingernail.
  • This is the kind of record that will play "near mint", but which will have some signs of use (although not major ones).
  • May have slight surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

John Mayall

Back To The Roots
Polydor, 1971. Near Mint- 2LP Gatefold
John Mayall's definitely getting back to his roots here – and he's also getting help from an all-star cast as well! Mayall's vocals and piano are in fine form – almost with a rough-edged Blues Breakers sort of vibe, but sometimes a bit funkier too – in ways that strongly show the ... LP, Vinyl record album

Barclay James Harvest

Everyone Is Everybody Else
Polydor, 1974. Near Mint-
A nice lean set from Barclay James Harvest – a record that gets more to the core of their sound after the larger arrangements of some of their albums for Harvest Records – in a way that also seems to bring out more of an edge in their songwriting, too! The shift is somewhat subtle, but ... LP, Vinyl record album

Phil Manzanera/801

Listen Now
Polydor (UK), 1977. Very Good+
Quite possibly the best of the solo Phil Manzanera projects – a wonderfully tight album that's surprisingly soulful and funky at times! Who

Quick One
Polydor, 1966. Near Mint-
Maybe the first true moment of genius from The Who – a record that shows that the group aren't just the usual mod rockers of the time – even though they were already pretty darn great in that format! Instead, there's all these little weird bits and odd themes going on – including ... LP, Vinyl record album

Paul Brett

Interlife
RCA, 1978. Near Mint-
Electric jazz meets funky rock – in a set of tunes that takes kind of a Tubular Bells approach to the groove! Brett plays all guitars on the set, and the rest of the instrumentation includes drums, bass, keyboards, and a bit of horns. Side one features the long cut "Interlife", ...
