A 60s LP that brings together work that Thad recorded with the Charles Mingus groups of the mid 50s – originally issued on 10" LPs in the 50s, but brought together here in a full LP that combines some excellent tracks! The material is played by 2 small groups – one with Jones, Mingus, John Dennis, and Max Roach; the other with Jones and Mingus, plus Hank Jones, Kenny Clarke, and Frank Wess. The overall feel is less experimental than later Mingus, but still has an arch edge to it that keeps things compelling. Titles include "Elusive", "Sombre Intrusion", "Bitty Ditty", "Get Out Of Town", and "More Of The Same". © 1996-2024, Dusty Groove, Inc.

All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly. If it does not, you can request a return for a full refund.
