Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so.
These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play,
but might detract from the looks.
May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be
intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under
the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record.
(Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
Possible minor surface noise when played.
Additional Marks & Notes
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Excellent work from Brit easy bandleader John Gregory – an assortment of 70s police and crime themes, played by a big band with a nice soundtrack-y finish! Nearly all the tunes are uptempo, and the feel of the record is very much in the same vein as Henry Mancini's Cop Show Themes album ... LP, Vinyl record album
A groovy mix of zither and 60s orchestrations – on tunes that include "Take Five", "Hard Days Night", "Days Of Wine & Roses", "Fly Me To The Moon", and "Girl From Ipanema". LP, Vinyl record album
Titles include "Star Wars Suite", "Variations On A Korean Folksong", "Moment Voor Morricone", "Clarinet Candy", "Flat Baroque", "Baja", and more. LP, Vinyl record album
A classic bit of mature mood music – one that featuers 60s instrumental pop themes, mixed with sound effects of a rainy stormy night! Titles include "Love Is Blue", "Waltz For Tricia", "Lover's Lullaby", "Visions", "Come Saturday Morning", ... LP, Vinyl record album
Groovy folksy pop, with some weird instrumentation like electric sitar, thumbtack piano, and "nerves". Tracks include "Looking at the Rose Through World Colored Glasses", "Do Not Speak but Sing", and "Think of Rain". LP, Vinyl record album
An overlooked gem from Martin Denny – cut during a range of later sides for Liberty Records, but somehow a standout, thanks to some soulful undercurrents in the music! The arranger is billed as Harold Johnson – who may well be the same cat leading the groovy sextet over on Revue ... LP, Vinyl record album
(Black label Living Stereo pressing with deep groove. Cover has light wear, some aging, splitting in the bottom seam, and a stained spot in back.)LP, Vinyl record album
