✨✧ EllipsisPeople/Gregory Moore ... 12-inch
Soul Spectrum/Jazzman (UK), 1976. Near Mint- ... Out Of Stock
A great bit of southern funk from the 70s – upbeat, grooving, and with a really righteous sound! "People" is one of those cuts that just grabs you right away – a unique-sounding tune that's all the way out there – tightly riffing instrumentation topped with some slightly raspy vocals – all with an offbeat charm that almost reminds us of the first time we heard the 70s classics by Milton Wright! "Gregory Moore" is great too – a bit more laidback, and almost with the same horn patterns as the first track, but slower. 12-inch, Vinyl record
(2008 issue.)

✨✧ Big StickDrag Racing EP ... 12-inch
Blast First (UK), 1986. Very Good+ (pic cover)... Out Of Stock
The insane debut of Big Stick – a record that came out around the same time that Sonic Youth were really taking off, and Pussy Galore were first getting their feet wet – and a set that's as equally noise-filled as the early work of both! The group are a duo – John Gill on guitar and Yanna Trance on drum machine – and the sound is very spare, but very noisy – heavy beats that are almost hip hop meets industrial – colored with lots of freaky, fuzzy guitar lines – and topped with lyrics that have this offbeat sense of wit – all with an approach that's in that mid-80s moment when underground music and performance art were somewhat comfortable bedfellows. Titles include "Shoot The President", "Drag Racing", "I Look Like Shit", "Hell On Earth", and "Jesus Was Born (On An Indian Reservation)" 12-inch, Vinyl record

✨✧ Superior ElevationFreaky With You/Welcome To My World ... 12-inch
Family Groove, 1979. Near Mint- ... Out Of Stock
Two rare tracks recorded in New Orleans in the late 70s – both appearing here for the first time ever! "Freaky With You" is an extended ensemble funk number – riffing guitar with the groove, monstrous bass driving the train, and lots of offbeat vocals on the lyrics – plus a very sharp percussion breakdown in the middle – conga that's worth the price of the record alone! "Welcome To My World" is mellower, and shows off a sweet stepping side of the group – a groove that's mellow, but still pretty darn funky – with warm vocals that move alongside the rhythm in a really warm way, and a cool moogy keyboard line that provides a nice accent! 12-inch, Vinyl record
