Two excellent Philly dance floor numbers off the Family Reunion LP, with "I Love Music" getting the pumped up Tom Moulton treatment for this single! 12-inch, Vinyl record
(Promo in a Philly Int'l sleeve, with a promo stamp.)
An undisputed Chi House classic! The hard drums and bubbly electronics of this one make it a killer, and leave it sounding even fresher today than when it first came out. Lead vocals by Keith Nunnally are extremely soulful – with a great sound that gives the cut a lot more bottom than some of the other, flatter Chicago cuts from the time. Served up on 4 long mixes, too! 12-inch, Vinyl record
(Original white label pressing with blue text. Label has small writing in pen.)
A real classic from Chip E with a wonderfully soulful vibe! Female lead vocals make the tune a fuller, richer one than it might be from just the stark handclap beats and basslines – and Lidell Townsell handles the house remix, which is superb – and really shows his strong ear for a vamping trancing groove! 12-inch, Vinyl record
"You Gonna Make Me Love Somebody Else" is one of the all-time great tracks by Philly International's best girl group – and it's served up here in a special disco mix, which runs for a full 8 minutes! 12-inch, Vinyl record
One of the greatest moments of late Philly – and a dancefloor stormer that never lets us down! The cut's served up here in a stunning 10 minute version – with grooves that go on and on and on, driving the anthemic message of the cut over the top. "I Got The Love" isn't nearly as great – but who cares, with such a great a-side! 12-inch, Vinyl record
We're not entirely certain if this is the same Jocko's as the one who cut "Rhythm talk" for Philly International a few years earlier, but this cut's in the same bag, with a bouncing commercial early 80s sound, not unlike Sugarhill Gang or Whodini. 12-inch, Vinyl record
(White label promo, in a promo Sugar Hill sleeve.)
