Pra Sempre ... LP RCA (Brazil), 1976. Very Good+ ...

Funky samba with a jazzy touch – sung by the lovely ElianaPittman, with a sweet 70s style that's a lot more mature than her 70s work. Many of the tracks mix together samba percussion with a sweeter electric style of instrumentation – in a mode that reminds us of the 70s work of Antonio Carlos e Jocafi, who contributed the title track "Pra Sempre". Other tracks include "Silencio", "Eu Sei De Tudo", "Vou-Me Embora", "No Meio Do Povo", and "Manto Azul". LP, Vinyl record album
Soulful samba from ElianaPittman – with sweet 70s arrangements from Ely Arcoverde, Nelsinho, and Severino Filho! LP, Vinyl record album

Eliana Ao Vivo ... LP Copacabana (Brazil), Late 60s. Very Good ...
Out Of Stock
A pretty hip live album from this great Brazilian singer – recorded with jazzy small combo backing, and an uptempo groove that takes a bossa style in the best moments! At some level, the record reminds us a lot of Elis Regina's live work from the 60s – particularly in the way that Eliana takes the songs, makes them her own, and holds the crowd in rapt attention with her masterful readings. Features a great version of "Ponteio", plus "Aquele Rosa", "Ole Ola", "Travessia", "Alegria De Carnaval", and "Das Rosas". LP, Vinyl record album
