Great 3-sided single that features two regular sides, plus a third side "hidden" amidst the grooves of the second side. Loads of great stuff, including "Brain Washed Follower" and "Ain't Hip to Be Labeled a Hippy". The kind of 12 inch single that makes collecting them worth while! 12-inch, Vinyl record
(Original pressing with SRC stamp, in the stickered Tommy Boy sleeve. Still includes the sticker! Sleeve has some wear and aging, and an index label with BPM. Label has BPM in pen.)
Two classic club-driven tunes by this late 70s funk ensemble! "Lovin" is a strong disco number – female vocals in the lead, and lots of swirling grooves that go on for over 7 minutes in this mix! "Stormin" is even better – a funky ensemble tune, with some really catchy riffs and vocal hooks! 12-inch, Vinyl record
That's a spooky cover on this single from Hiatus Kaiyote – and they definitely bring some of that energy to the title tune "Canopic Jar" – a track that begins with a bit of a horror introduction, and moves into some of the eeriest funky soul we've heard from the group! The tune's got a great heavy drum breakdown in the middle, peppered by vocal shrieks – and preceded by the cool intro track "Journey To The Crystal Tomb" – the followed by an instrumental and acapella track too. 12-inch, Vinyl record
