Franz WaxmanCrime In The Streets ... LP
Decca, 1956. Very Good+ ... $14.99
Hard to find soundtrack to this early Don Siegel film that starred John Cassavetes, Sal Mineo, and James Whitmore as a bunch of JD's. The score has a dramatic crime jazz sound, similar to Elmer Bernstein's work in the same vein – and the LP also includes Waxman's "Three Sketches for Jazz Orchestra", which features nice solo passages by the likes of Pete Candoli, Joe Mondragon, and Jack Dumont. A classic Decca score, and one that we never see! LP, Vinyl record album
(Black label pressing. Cover has a small top seam split, but is nice overall.)

✨✧ Wonderland PhilharmonicShogun Assassin ... LP
Baby Cart/Cinewax, 1980. Very Good+ ... Out Of Stock
The wildly influential soundtrack to Shogun Assassin – credited to The Wonderland Philharmonic, but co-produced and performed by Mark Lindsay of Paul Revere & The Raiders and disco guru W. Michael Lewis – heavy on moogy atmospherics and dialogue from the film! It's a triumph of oddly spacey action soundtrack composition, perhaps most famous for the huge influence on RZA's incredible peak-era Wu Tang production! Includes "The Legend Of The Lone Wolf", "Daigoro's Theme", "The Ninja", "Crimson Sky", "Dune", "Eyes Of A Demon" and more. LP, Vinyl record album
(UK reissue from 2011.)

✨✧ Lalo SchifrinBullitt – Original Soundtrack ... LP
Warner, Late 60s. Sealed ... Out Of Stock
Fantastic stuff! In case you don't know it, this is one of Lalo Schifrin's most incredible soundtracks, and it's a stunning mix of jazz, bossa, and groovy grooves. There's lots of cool bubbling electric bass, lilting keyboards, and moody breezy rhythms. Nearly every cut's a winner, and if you like his stuff, we can bet that this will become one of your favorites. The record's darn tough to find on wax – and cuts include "Bullitt", "Room 26", "On the Way To San Mateo", and "Shifting Gears". LP, Vinyl record album
