✨✧ Adele Bertei, Lydia Lunch, John Lurie, & OthersVortex ... LP
Neutral, Early 80s. Very Good+ ... Out Of Stock
Groovy downtown score to this NY underground film from the early 80s – a great document of the scene at the time! John Lurie plays sax on a number of tracks, and other players include Scott & Beth B (who directed the film), Richard Edson, and Kristin Hoffman. Titles include "Sleaze", "Black Box Disco", "End Zone", "The Chase", "The Roof", and "The Demo". LP, Vinyl record album

✨✧ Danny ElfmanBatman – Original Motion Picture Score ... CD
Warner, 1989. Used ... $1.99
Not the Prince music from the first Batman film – but all those other sounds that were used in the movie, penned and produced at a surprisingly strong level by Danny Elfman – who shows the world that he's got a lot more to offer than just his previous work in the group Oingo Boingo! This isn't a rock soundtrack by a fading talent from the mainstream – and instead, it's one of Elfman's first full forays into scoring – performed by the Sinfonia of London with a richness that's given the music maybe a more enduring quality than the film! Titles include "Waltz To The Death", "Roof Fight", "Batman Theme", "Clown Attack", "Flowers", "Roasted Dude", "The Joker's Poem", and "The Bat Cave". CD
(Out of print.)

✨✧ Danny ElfmanNightmare Before Christmas (2LP zoetrope picture disc) ... LP
Walt Disney, 1993. New Copy 2LP Gatefold (reissue)... Out Of Stock
Danny Elfman really hits new heights on his score for this twisted Tim Burton holiday classic – bringing back some of his strong ear for lyrics, forged during his Oingo Boingo years – and making for a record that's filled with catchy tunes that have really helped keep the film alive over the years! There's some nice instrumentals thrown into the mix too, of the sort that had been helping Elfman rise as a soundtrack star from the late 80s onward – and tracks include "This Is Halloween", "Town Meeting Song", "What Is This", "Sally's Song", "Poor Jack", "Kidnap The Sandy Claws", "Jack's Lament", and "Nabbed". ✨✧ Jerry GoldsmithPapillon – Expanded Original Motion Picture Soundtrack ... CD
Quartet (Spain), 1973. Used ... Out Of Stock
A dramatic score by Jerry Goldsmith – written for the film Papillon, a dark prison film that starred Steve McQueen and Dustin Hoffmann. The manner of the work is similar to other Goldsmith scores of this nature – with many tense horn and string passages that underlie the mood of the film. Titles include "Gift From The Sea", "Cruel Sea", "Survival", "Hospital", "Reunion", and "The Camp". CD

✨✧ Bernard Herrmann/Joel McNeelyDay The Earth Stood Still ... CD
Varese, 1951/2002. Used ... Out Of Stock
A new recording of the Hermann's classic soundtrack for the 1951 sci fi thriller The Day The Earth Stood Still – recorded in London in 2002, and done in a relatively faithful style! In fact, the album also features theremin by Celia Sheen – picking up nicely where the work by Samuel J Hoffman on the original recording left off. 33 tracks in all – and titles include "Captive", "Alone", "Panic", "The Glowing", "The Visor", "The Telescope", "Gort", and "Klaatu". Quincy Jones/Evie Sands/Jeff BridgesJohn & Mary ... LP
A&M, Late 60s. Near Mint- ... $6.99 9.99
A groovy soundtrack, written for this film that starred Dustin Hoffman and Mia Farrow as two young lovers on a one night stand. The film sports a great vocal theme – "Maybe Tomorrow", sung by Evie Sands in a haunting airy way, and also performed at another point by the Morgan Ames Singers, and instrumentally by Quincy. Other tracks include Quincy's own number "Silent Moovies", the vocal cuts "Bump In The Night" by The Strange Things and "Lost In Space" by Jeff Bridges, and a number of classical themes played by a brass group led by Quincy. LP, Vinyl record album
(White label stereo promo. Cover has a promo sticker in back.)

✨✧ Pearl Kaufman/Tammy Wynette/Jack NicholsonFive Easy Pieces ... LP
Epic, 1970. Sealed ... Out Of Stock
A schizophrenic soundtrack to this groundbreaking film of the early 70s – one that features a number of Tammy Wynette hits, alongside some classical piano pieces, alongside some great dialogue snippets from the film! Tammy's tunes include the hits "Stand By Your Man" and "DIVORCE", and the classical pieces are performed by Pearl Kaufman during the scenes when Nicholson plays the piano in the film. The best bits, though, are the dialogue passages – which include Jack's famous "chicken" order in "On The Road", plus "Oil Field", "Motel", and "Bobby's Monologue With His Father". LP, Vinyl record album

✨✧ VariousDr Seuss' The Grinch (clear with red & white swirl vinyl pressing) ... LP
Real Gone, 2018. New Copy ... Out Of Stock
A better soundtrack than you might expect – as the set features a number of Christmas classics, mixed with a few new cuts for the record, and a few instrumentals too! The set leads off with Tyler The Creator doing "You're A Mean One Mr Grinch" and "I Am The Grinch" – and Danny Elfman also contributed a few instrumental titles too – but the bulk of the record is classic Holiday material, with titles that include "Christmas Is" and "Christmas In Hollis" by Run DMC, "My Favorite Things" by The Supremes, "Deck the Halls" by Jackie Wilson, "Run Rudolph Run" by Brian Setzer, "Zat You Santa Claus" by Buster Poindexter, "The Christmas Song" by Nat King Cole, and "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" by Pentatonix.
